Cruz takes the gloves off, attacking Rubio on immigration
Washington Post ^ | Nov 12 2015 | Katie Zezima and David Weigel

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), who has spent the past few weeks taking oblique swipes at Senate colleague and presidential campaign rival Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), took a direct swing at him Thursday in a clash that signaled a newly bitter fight between the two rising candidates — and illustrated the GOP field’s contentious fault lines on immigration policy.

Cruz blasted Rubio for his support of a failed immigration reform bill that would have granted a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, telling conservative radio host Laura Ingraham that Rubio had opposed adding provisions to the bill that would have strengthened border security

Characterizing Cruz trying to get the best possible outcome for border control as an endorsement of Rubio’s amnesty doesn’t do your credibility any good.

Nor does your accusing a good man of lying.

“Cruz is vulnerable. Rubio already pointing out Cruz supported the amended version of the Gang of Eight bill which, in Cruz’s own words, would have happily brought illegals “out of the shadows” granting them RPI and LPR status.
Cruz has been riding on Trump’s coattails, creating the illusion that he mirrors Trump on immigration. He does not.”

Hello Brett Baier & Fox, r u trolling FR?)...saw the hit jobs on Cruz, then Trump on your “fair and balanced” report tonight. My God, Fox has gone totally in the tank for El Nino Rubio. Brett, you looked so angry during your “interview” grill session with Trump. I’m guessing that the early post-debate polling is going strong for Cruz and Trump...not well enough for El Nino. I have been a religious Special Report watcher, but I’m close to ditching this network completely as I have already done with that arrogant blowhard O’Reilly.

And then, the 3rd story on Special Report tonight was the FBI expansion of the Hillary crime-pallooza. This story should have led the broadcast, not the over-hyped and media-manufactured Republican squabble over illegal immigration...

You, my friend, are the “Puny Human”...

Characterizing Cruz trying to get the best possible outcome for border control

If that bill had passed, we would not be talking about deportation today. We'd be talking about whether to grant or not to grant citizenship to "former" illegals, because they'd be marching in the streets right next to Black Lives Matter demanding their right to naturalize.

A failure to vet your own candidate or to acknowledge what he's been doing doesn't reflect well on your credibility.

Nor does your accusing a good man of lying.

But accusing him when you can prove it is something else entirely. After reading Cruz's own statements, is this reply from Team Cruz honest?

Benjy Sarlin: @RealBPhil Okay so to be 100% clear: If his amendment succeeded, he still would not have supported work permits for existing undocumented?

Brian Phillips: .@BenjySarlin 100% clear: Cruz’s amendment had nothing to do with that issue.

Trump will be ok as a VP for Cruz, as he will make a good attack dog.

Otherwise Trump can be Homeland Security head or the chief trade negotiator.

You are an idiot. It's not trolling when you're posting the candidate's own words. The articles I have provided, the evidence therein, are irrefutable.

Where does Ann Coulter get off complaining that Ted Cruz is not a natural born citizen? When many freepers pointed out that Obama is not a natural born citizen (at least), she dismissed the freepers and other as "birthers" and "cranks." We live in a post constitutional/post republic America. Ted Cruz is the man who will take the steps to restore the Constitution. After him, if G-d willing he becomes President, then we can work about restoring the rest of the Constitution and its natural born citizenship clause.

Also, because of the war of northern aggression, the North cannot secede from America to practice Communism in Massachusetts, New York and elsewhere. There was the bloody precedent of the Civil War and we should hold everyone to it!

I supported Michelle Bachman and then Newt Gingrich. I got emotional shigellosis from having to eat the crap sandwich of Mitt (happens) Romney. I hope I don’t have to do that a second time. Ted Cruz is my man. I wanted an intellectual such as Newt Gingrich and it seems patriots have a chance to elect someone even better in 2016!

Puny, you are not intelligent enough to understand the connection of your blather to the obvious bias of Fox News “reporting” this evening...as you are arbitrarily shitting on Cruz and also Trump, then you are in league with the forces of the GOPe and Fox. Your boy, El Nino Rubio is a minion of the Amnesty crowd...not Cruz or Trump!

PS Your non de plume suggests that your are either larger or better than everyone else...well you are not! Fat and stupid is no way to go through life son! (with apologies to Dean Wormer) Oh, and you are no Brett Baeir either!!!

He doesn’t have to take the job if he does not want it. We don’t need to give special considerations just because someone is a billionaire.

This should be fun...I never got this Rubio was some rising star talk that started a number of years ago.

I am sure he is a nice guy, but I always thought he looked and sounded like a bratty little kid that needed a good spanking.

Cruz is riding Trump's coattails like Trump's support for Obama’s unconstitutional, illegal “Dream Act”? Who has led the fight against Obama’s unconstitutaional, illegal acts? Ted Cruz.

Sometimes Coulter just says things to be outrageous and get attention. She does not even believe some of what she says.

Strawman. I've not posted anything from Fox. I've been talking about this for months.

as you are arbitrarily shitting on Cruz

But it's not arbitrary. What I've written is entirely true. It is no assertion. These are statements based on facts. It is you who are being "arbitrary".

And FYI, I'm a Trump supporter. It is you who supports an amnesty candidate-- which, sadly, was and always has been Ted Cruz.

"You should stop trashing Trump’s likely running mate."

I prefer to think of it as Cruz is the tail and Trump is the kite.
