Washington (CNN) - A new national survey of Republicans indicates that it's basically all tied up between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, with Gingrich on the rise and businessman Herman Cain falling due to the sexual harassment allegations he's been facing the past two weeks. According to a CNN/ORC International Poll released Monday, 24% of Republicans and independents who lean towards the GOP say Romney is their most likely choice for their party's presidential nominee with Gingrich at 22%. Romney's two-point advantage is well within the survey's sampling error.

Yep. No one else except Carson even wins second consistently.
Wrong: polling shows him beating Cankles already in MN, PA, FL, IA, NH, NC, all states McCain or Romney won. He’s tied in VA. I personally think he will lose OH and win without it. There are polls showing he’s tied in MI. So, yeah, he will we n the general.
No. She is the most disliked person in the race on either side. She hasn’t yet had to campaign or answer a sigle charge. Trump. Cruz, Rubio, and probably Carson can beat her.
I will never EVER vote for a lying liberal piece of crap like Trump.
“And Trump is every bit the liberal that Clinton is regardless of the fact that his fans lack the integrity to admit it.”
This is absolutely true, CC. Too bad there’s only about a dozen of us around here who haven’t completely lost our minds.
There are a lot here that just don’t say much but they are here. Some of us just absorb attacks better than others.
I will never get sucked in by right progressive hype and change. The only true conservatism is constitutional conservatism.
Goodie for you. (Hint: we don’t need you to win).
I will do what ever I can to deny Clinton the White House. That is a no-brainer to me...
Goodness. Your post and your subsequent posts along these lines sound like things that were posted in the 2012, 2008, 1996 election cycles. All you have to do is switch out the names and voila! You've got your case for voting for another progressive under the Republican banner. And so on and so on and scooby dooby dooby...
Every 4 years we lick our wounds and swear we've learned our lesson. Yet here we are again in the 2016 election cycle, and, just because the progressive doesn't look like the previous ones, few are able to discern the danger of the camel's nose that could poke its way into the Republican tent and tear conservatism asunder. Notice I said "conservatism" and not "Republicanism."
All this Trump mania indicates to me that we're going to be stuck in the desert of progressivism forever. Sad to say but we're an easily manipulated people, save for a handful of us.
I suppose I should have clarified my post with the my belief that the Republican nominee will be either Mr. Trump or Mr. Cruz, so I have no qualms about voting for either.
If a GOPe candidate were to win the Republican nomination, I would write in Mr. Cruz. Of course, that really wouldn't matter one way or the other as I'm voting in California. And on that same note, due to my voting location, it likely wouldn't matter who I vote for in any case no matter who wins the Republican nomination.
I'm sorry to discover, via your last sentence, that the supercilious class are so very disappointed in the rationalizations and desires of us less worthy individuals who tend towards conservatism.
