Trump names Cruz when asked about VP spot

Donald Trump on Tuesday named Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) when asked about his possible running mate in 2016.

“Ted Cruz is now agreeing with me 100 percent,” he said when asked about his vice presidential pick, according to Lifezette.

“Well, I like him,” Trump told radio host Laura Ingraham during her broadcast. "He’s backed everything I’ve said.” Unlike most of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Cruz has mostly refrained from attacking Trump, even appearing alongside him at a rally in September against the Iran nuclear deal.

The pair has also struck similar tones on topics such as border security and illegal immigration.

Still, Trump suggested late Monday that he will turn on Cruz if he becomes a threat to his front-runner status.

“If he catches on, I guess we’ll have to go to war,” he told host Joe Kernen on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

8 + 8 is possible. I figure 4 + 8 more likely.
OK w/ either.

Of course not. Cruz will take Trump down. Calmly, methodically, like an adult without being a whiny baby. Looking forward to it.

Exactly, and Trump may not want two terms but if so we may have good presidents for the next sixteen years.

It’s what the country needs.

I think Trump knows Cruz is the original and above Trump’s pay grade. No way Cruz will have to settle for VP.

I’ll believe Trump will pick Cruz as VP when I see it.

Cruz was saying - AND DOING - long before Trump entered the race.
Amen. Trump knows who is real.

I was thinking the same thing 4-8 years of Trump and then Cruz in a great spot to run and stay in office for 8 years.

Them may have just about time to remove all the Obama BS. However I bet Trump will get 90% of it gone in the first year!!!:-)

The democrats are terrified of Trump. When the economy doubles in growth within a year of his presidency, the public will realize Obama was all about destroying America and it’s economy. They’ve almost succeeded in convincing a majority of americans that this pathetic economy is as good as it gets

This is about the third thread posted about to his today, that I’ve seen.

The problem is that this isn’t what Trump said.

Trump swathe likes Cruz and is happy to seek him lining up with his policies.

Trump said it’s too early to name a VP. That he likes to win the victory first, then go from there.

Trump says, “Ted Cruz is now agreeing with me 100 percent.”

Ha. Trump taking credit for Cruz’s brilliance. Right.

More like “Trump sees what Cruz is doing and saying, gets a clue, and then parrots Cruz’s ideas in more brash and vulgar language, language that resonates with middle America more than the precise words of a brilliant statesman.”

“... Cruz is even less eligible.”

That meme is tired and dead. And false. Let it go.

They balance each other out. Trump has business, good political instincts, great foreign policy and protecting America.

Cruz has in-depth knowledge of government process, knows the Constitution better than anyone.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s a Dream Team.
