Trump names Cruz when asked about VP spot
The Hill ^ | Nov 17, 2015 | Mark Hensch

Donald Trump on Tuesday named Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) when asked about his possible running mate in 2016.

“Ted Cruz is now agreeing with me 100 percent,” he said when asked about his vice presidential pick, according to Lifezette.

“Well, I like him,” Trump told radio host Laura Ingraham during her broadcast. "He’s backed everything I’ve said.” Unlike most of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Cruz has mostly refrained from attacking Trump, even appearing alongside him at a rally in September against the Iran nuclear deal.

The pair has also struck similar tones on topics such as border security and illegal immigration.

Still, Trump suggested late Monday that he will turn on Cruz if he becomes a threat to his front-runner status.

“If he catches on, I guess we’ll have to go to war,” he told host Joe Kernen on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”

Well, Cruz would be a hypocrite to accept, according to many Cruz supporters, here.

Oh Shut up. The GOP and Dems redefined natural born citizen in 2008. Its over. They re-wrote the constitution behind out backs and its not going to change. Time to move on.

It will be interesting to see who gets picked once the nominee is chosen. Often the pick
is made based upon who can bring the most to the ticket be it overall voters or selected states.
Generally the Presidential election is determined in ten or less states. So it will be an
interesting selection process.

Do you honestly and sincerely think that Cruz is not eligible to become President? Or are you just bringing that old leftist accusation up for political reasons?

It’s already been settled. Cruz is eligible. And he’s presidential.

Cruz for President. Trump for Press Secretary.

Yeah, some think a billionaire NY real estate developer is going to take number two position?! The concept is delusional. Trump’s ambitions all his life is that of a winner. Not second best.

Trump doesn’t need 8 years. Besides he’d be 77 at the end of a second term.

Thank you for that link. Trump did NOT name Cruz as a VP candidate, just said he liked him when asked about it.

Standby to be ridiculed. Cruzies don't like to be reminded of that.

I've become immune to their Alinsky tactics.

The oath is to the Constitution, not to political parties. Too many on our side have forgotten that.

Yup, and the fools who think otherwise see Trump as just another political hack, not a guy with a $400 million a year salary and 17 golf course and hotels with name over the front door.
