LOL, uh-huh. They were saying the same thing during his Senate run, when he was polling at -1, according to one count. He had no name recognition, and was up against a very popular, wealthy, self-funded candidate. General opinion was that he was a fool to run. And we know how that turned out.
All you Trumpsters can do is parrot poll numbers---a year out from the election. That's all you have. Because otherwise, you'd have to delve into the liberal stances and instability of your erratic candidate. And that is very carefully and studiously ignored.
Bottom line, if you really thought Trump was inevitable and Cruz no threat, you wouldn't swarm Cruz threads like a pack of yapping, ankle-biting lapdogs.
“Erratic” enough to break into philosophical territory that none of the others did, or at best did belatedly.
We need that kind of “erratic.” Other parts of it may or may not stink, but we never were promised a rose garden that had no thorns.
