SALEM, Utah -- Students in 9th grade at Salem Junior High School were given a homework assignment where they were told to draw a propaganda poster for a terrorist organization.
After parents complained, the assignment was canceled. However, many students had already completed it, leaving some parents concerned about what they had been exposed to in the process.
Annie Langston couldn't believe her 14-year-old daughter Mikalia was given the assignment.
"My initial response was, 'there's no way you're going to do this assignment,'" Langston said.

These ‘educators’ have been radicalized themselves with nonsense about white privilege, heteronormative this or that, etc.
I’d be tempted to make a poster for “The Army of God” just to mess with them.

Annie seemed to look pretty upset. I honestly think the reporter kinda put words in Annie’s mouth about thinking she’s a good teacher, notice the Mom never said it.
I have to wonder what the teacher would have said if a boy had made a poster extolling the virtues of the 72 virgins he would be banging for eternity.
If that is the case, then I, as the parent would be going straight to the school and beginning a protest, which I’m sure more than enough parents would be willing to join. Imagine all of the moms dropping their kids off each morning with seeing a picket line on the edge of the property in the public right of way.
These ‘educators’ were radicalized in our pitifully ignorant universities by their evil professors. Teaching hate is evil.
Just write a terrorist note and send to the teacher.

All teachers who do stuff like this...vagina monologues, the ISIS propoganda, the transgender stories, the pro planned parenthood, the book with two mommies...each address and name should be posted and they should be shamed/shunned.
I agree that it was no mistake. I do think it could have been done by a teacher who is not wise and who is brainwashed into thinking we ‘need to be understanding of others’.
Our education establishment needs to be completely reformed. The liberals/atheists at the top of the pyramid are responsible for this foolishness and anti-American propaganda. The outcome is what we are seeing on college campuses all over the USA.
Your idea to ‘have some fun with this assignment’ does have possibilities.
How about a girl drawing a picture of a man with a gun followed by a long line of women wearing tent-like burkas. Add a title: Men - join ISIS and get your women as slaves.
Would the teacher even understand the irony of it?
You are waaaay over-analyzing this when it is not needed based on these simple facts: (1) is was done in a public school, (2) by a teacher, and, (3) in a country that is highly-sensitized to terrorist Muslims, and the attacks on people and Christianity here, and abroad.
It matters not one iota what the lesson was to be learned. It was a seriously poor decision made, yet again, by a public school teacher in this country, that has an effect on our children.
I vote that she’s not guilty!
Then again, if they consider the US Army a "terrorist group", they might be commended for it.
I suspected as much when I saw she was hiding behind a little x.
