Miami (AFP) - Last month was the hottest October in modern history and the first 10 months of the year have also set new records for worldwide warmth, US government scientists said Wednesday.

The latest data means that 2015 is firmly on pace for being the most scorching since 1880, as global warming concerns mount ahead of key climate talks in Paris starting later this month.

October marked the sixth month in a row that heat records were shattered across the planet, said the monthly report by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

"The globally averaged temperature over land and ocean surfaces for October 2015 was the highest for October since record keeping began in 1880," said NOAA.

These are the people who may declare that Hillary has been elected president because she got 500 million votes, which is a lot more than Trump.

They are prepared to say anything.

The current El Nino will take us back to, and slightly above the 97-98 El Nino next year. The weeping and wailing about it in the media next year will not hide the fact that warming is negligible. I always use the opportunity to point out the benefits of warming and CO2.

Last month was the hottest ________in modern history

Science is easy when you can simply fill in the blank regardless of any actual data. I predict next month -- December -- will also be "the hottest December in modern history." The real temperature doesn't matter. Facts don't matter. The agenda is everything. This nonsense will continue until BHO is gone.

“October marked the sixth month in a row that heat records were shattered across the planet”

And when were the previous records set? 100,000 years ago?

You can find any damn month the previous 150 years and find a record broken somewhere. It isnt some supernatural thing for a place to be hotter by 1 or 3 degrees than it was 30 years ago.

It is snowing and cold here in NE Indiana.
And it was hot this summer and then warm, then cool.
It will get warm in a few months, then hot again.
And then things cool and it will get cold again.

... 2015 is firmly on pace for being the most scorching since 1880 ...
-
How was the temperature of the earth measured in 1880?
How was the temperature of the earth measured in 2015?
Are those methods comparable?
Why was 1880 hotter than 2015?
Does that mean the earth has been cooling since 1880?
What is the ideal temperature the idiots want to achieve?

Hot summer, cold winter. Hotter summer, colder winter. Sounds like climate change to me.

Ok lefties. What’s your plan to fix it, how much will it cost and what is the risk mitigation strategy in case you overshoot your goal and out the earth into a global freeze?

Here in New England, I don’t think we had an “indian summer” this fall.

I hate hot, humid weather and summer wasn’t bad at all this year.

But I’ll just disregard my personal experience, turn off my brain and listen to my gubmint’s view of what happened! Or not.

And as I’m reading this now in Chicago, there is at least a foot of wet snow at my door step. For cryin’ out loud, it’s not even Thanksgiving!

I’d like a little warming.

BS. My summer was probably the wettest and coolest that I ever remember in our area. I don’t think we made it even one time to 100 degrees, and I’m not sure we got over 95.
