I believe that the yuppies are now being oppressed. Check out this $6 asparagus water at the Whole Foods. It's basically a jar of water with a few stalks of asparagus put in it and then marketed as a health tonic.

I feel that the yuppies at Whole Foods have been taken advantage of long enough. This is a call for action.

It would help if we had the strength to re-institute such punishments as the dunking stool, the whip, the stocks etc. I remind you that they were used at the time the constitution was drafted and thus assumed. They are NOT “cruel and unusual punishments” forbidden by the eighth amendment.

I’m curious if this little snowflake would be “offended” if she were dining with a tribe of Cannibals.

Caution: Eating ethnic food can cause micro-aggressive diarrhea.

Oh brother. To play this out fully, she wants everyone to eat only the foods they grew up with, have zero curiosity about other cultures’ foods, and to constantly focus on the worst possible situations.

Sorry. That is not American. We are positive, strong doers. We can eat what we like. We can say or think what we damn well like about the food. If we decide to think about Mexico while eating tacos, which is not a requirement, we have the freedom to think of that spring break in 92, our Mexican nanny, Mexicans taking over all the fast food jobs, the oppression of poor Mexicans by their own government, or anything we damn well want to think.

This country was built on freedom. Forcing political correctness on people is tyranny.

Has anyone ever lost a meal because blacks were slaves and Mexicans are peons? Has anyone lost a minutes sleep?

My hummus at home is Sabra, which is partly Jewish, and when I eat restaurant-made hummus, along with kibbeh bi laban and drink Lebanese coffee at the Cedars Restaurant, the food is cooked and served by Christians, so I don’t have to be concerned with Muslim privilege.

Here’s the actual web site headline:

Eating ‘Authentic’ Food From Other Cultures Declared Racist

So if logic follows, eating pizza is racist.

Pizza has tomato sauce. Tomatoes came from China via the Caucasian exploitation of the Chinese by Marco Polo. So for me to eat anything with tomatoes is sacred to the Chinese and for me (whitey) to eat pizza is a cultural appropriation of the Chinese culture.

And don't even get me started about Miracle Whip, comrade !!

We are in the era of "selling ridiculous ideas."

The MORE ridiculous, the more attention it gets. Makes me wonder if someone isn't going to suggest that swallowing rocks will help you lose weight.

"Politically correct" has truly hit runaway mode in this Country.

So eating authentic foreign food is now racist. So don’t go to Taco Bell for the authentic Mexican food, and don’t go to McDonald’s for the authentic Scottish food.

Thank heaven we don't have to suffer through authentic Chinese, Mexican, Thai, etc. cuisine.

In America we get new-and-improved ethnic cuisine with more meat, cleaner/safer ingredients, and larger portions.

America makes everything better... at least for now.

To avoid offending ethnicities and appropriating their cultures, one should only consume Soylent Green.

We’ve gone from enjoying ethnic foods being regarded as open-minded and celebrating diverse cultures to the same being racist? Eat what you like. Like it because you like it. I like most of what passes for Mexican food in this country. Mexican restaurants employ a lot of Mexicans. Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, the same. For the life of me, I don’t see how that can be construed in any way as being racist. They’re going to end up causing a lot of these places to close, and what will be gained then?
