Looks like too many Kool-Aid drinkers in LA.
Yikes!
Are the “refugee” votes in yet?
Bitter underperforming Republican Lt Governor candidate by 14 points. That can not be good.
Early results, no need to freak out....yet.
Vote for the Pervert. It’s important.
I had a difficult time convincing family the need to stop this from being spun nationally as an Obama win.
The bad part about the results is a lot of folks voted Republican for Lt. Governor and then for the Democrat for governor.
Morons.
Is Jindal not running for re-election?
Is Orleans Parish, New Orleans? I know that sounds obvious but I am not sure and of course they have no results yet. Are they waiting to see if they need more votes for the win?
ace of spades blog calling for bel edwards. early vote strong for bel edwards. vitter underperforming in jefferson parish.
As a lifelong observer of Louisiana politics, I am sorry to report that based on these returns thus far, there is no way Vitter can win. He has too little strength in key Republican parishes.
John Bel Edwards (D) 54.58% 434584
David Vitter (R) 45.42% 361595
Shreveport station calling it for the democrat.
It’s what happens when you run a flawed candidate.
Well, Vitter is doing the party a big favor by not running again for the Senate.
I would have voted for Bel Edwards.
Blue Dog Democrat is pro-life, pro-gun and pro-Israel.
Its rare indeed when a Democrat is more conservative than his GOP opponent!
Vitter deserved to lose.
Wdwards won but it’s telling what is being reported in the LA newspapers. Edwards had to embrace Republican positions in order to get the votes. Plus as one opined, “Edwards did not win the race as much as Vitter lost it.”
