Amen. Any defeat for the GOPe, and Vitter is certainly part of the GOP Elite, is a win for conservatism.

WRONG!

Vitter was detested by Louisiana's Country Club Republicans - Jindal, Darden, Angelle, etc. I know those people, and they NEVER supported Vitter.

Exactly, Vitter is one of the few Republicans not tied to the Country Clubs. The most conservative legislator in many years. New Attorney General Jeff Landry, a former conservative U.S. representative for one term, is also the most conservative person in that office since probably 1956.
