Trump was responding to a Wall Street Journal report that Republican operatives are considering banding together donors from the other GOP campaigns in a bid to knock Trump off the top spot.

Their efforts are taking on increased urgency as the first-in-the-nation Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses near and Trump leads the crowded GOP field for the fourth consecutive month, according to a new national Washington Post-ABC News poll. Some candidates, including Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida governor Jeb Bush, also are showing more willingness lately to directly attack Trump.

If so, Hillary wins in a landslide.

I guess this explains the Uniparty. I am sticking with Trump.

Ignoring all the clatter.

The Uniparty needs to be kicked to the curb.

We need to refresh.

“Apparently, no one can explain this silly expression.”

Well honey, it’s a reference to the highly stylized drama and the over the top Gene Simmons KISS makeup. It is evocative of politicians on a very regular basis.
And you might be overthinking this.

Where I grew up it used to be so cold it was freezing the horns off the billy goats, and so hot lizards carried a stick they could poke into the ground and climb up on and cool their little reptile feet. Of course, no such things happened......as far as I know.

“Get your head out of the clouds of wistful fantasy if you’re thinking voting for Trump as a 3rd party candidate won’t deliver the election to Hillary.”

Well golly, then we should just go ahead and vote for Bush or El Rubio if they are the nominee. Otherwise Hillary will win and do the exact some things,,,,,, but less patriotically. (or something,,,)

Look, everyone in the 70s saw KISS. (smirk)

I’m beginning to think the GOPe really wants Hillary to win.

Gee, ya think? But the Republican Congress is so opposed to everything the Democrats stand for! The Republican Congress is passing all those bills that would undo Obama’s policies, and daring Obama to veto!

Oh, wait, I got that wrong. The Republican Congress isn’t doing anything at all to challenge Obama. Gosh, maybe you’re right. Maybe the GOPe DOESN’t have a problem with the Democratic policies, and maybe they WOULDN’t mind having Hillary win.

“handing the election to Hillary (because you know damned well that’d be the result) is somehow a good thing is a perversion in itself.”

No, perversion is pretending that El Rubio, Yeb, Lindsey, etc are any different than Hillary. The only difference is a slightly different Christmas card list and condoms on the White House tree.

Nobody is forcing Trump to do anything. Any choice he makes will be his alone.

And, no, he would not draw crossover democrats. He would likely ensure that we get another President Clinton.

That always makes me wonder how some could be so dumb or stubborn to let a Democrat get the Presidency when the Supreme Court is in the balance makes no sense to me.

You mean like the GOP did to us in 2008 and 2012? By handpicking the candidates whose turn it was? That way?

The ultimate destruction of the GOP would make the exercise worthwhile should it become necessary.

The GOP is a false front. A bucket of Quislings. The enemy within.

Do you really believe that crap? I don't care for the moderate and liberal factions of the Republican party, but that is just plain nonsense.

And your 2012 vanity vote gave us the mess we’re in today. Soooo, you plan to do it again.

Perfect example of what’s wrong and why we can’t fix it.

He is aware that life is not fair. But this BS started when the Gope was saying they were trying to exclude him, the front runner by far, from the debates.

But speaking of fair, the Gope wants the right to use any foul underhanded tactic against him, then they should -expect- the exact same thing back from him. Right?

Keeps the Chi in balance. Bam*

This whole thread is full of nonsense that presupposes that politics is “fair” and that if one candidate can’t take heat, he’s being treated “unfairly.”

Politics isn’t fair. It’s hard, and it’s dirty. The road to the Presidency is tough. Being President means that ugly people will be mean to you. It is a job that ages young men.

Whiners should not apply, and certainly should not win. (Look at the current pResident as a good example.)

Not only that, I kinda have a thing for cultured city women who scold me, and I often confuse verbal abuse for affection.
