Trump was responding to a Wall Street Journal report that Republican operatives are considering banding together donors from the other GOP campaigns in a bid to knock Trump off the top spot.
Their efforts are taking on increased urgency as the first-in-the-nation Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses near and Trump leads the crowded GOP field for the fourth consecutive month, according to a new national Washington Post-ABC News poll. Some candidates, including Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida governor Jeb Bush, also are showing more willingness lately to directly attack Trump.

Mark Levin recently explained that the law is explicit related to foreign born Americans.
If one parent was born in America and lived here a total of at least 10 years (at least 5 of those years must be after the age of 14), the child qualifies as a natural born citizen.
He reminded of several candidates who have been foreign born: George Romney (Mitt’s father—Mexico), McCain (Panama), Goldwater (Territory of Arizona before it was a state). So there is clear precedent as well as law on the side of Cruz.
True. The GOPe is afraid it will lose Big Government and the riches of easy corruption. They would rather the Democrats win than to lose what they really want.

You are correct, which is why it is time to twist the GOPe’s arm until the bone snaps, then grind the ends together till they quit aiding and abetting Democrat agendas. Or until the arm come off, either way.

Having been a rat in the past, don’t see much point in joining the rat II party. My anti voting views render the point moot anyway. Vote pube, get caesar. Vote rat, get caesar. Seems like regardless of who you vote for....you get more of caesar.

Don’t forget the most important point. You get leftist policies with a GOP stamp on it. Which in turn damages the brand and reduces the chances of conservatives(and saving the country) as the media conflates the two.

The problem is that precedent and the law seem to mean little to the current Supreme Court.
If Cruz is truly an insurgent candidate and not a GOPe player, he represents a threat to the power they wield. There are billions of dollars and the power that represents at stake.
Cruz has said that he intends to make the Supremes subject to electoral review. Do you trust the current court, that finds reasons to rule in expedient fashion in mystical penumbras and phantom founder intent, to suddenly go “Oh, well, looks like precedent and law is in favor of this threat we can stop with a simple ruling on an issue that is ambiguous enough that Congressional action was taken on behalf of candidate McCain.”
I’m sure the court will say, “Cuban father, born in Canada, and only renounced his Canadian citizenship in 2014? Slam dunk NBC, and what the Hell, just because the Supreme Court has steered clear of this issue before it’s not an excuse for us to set our own precedent and stop this guy who wants us to go before those idiot voters.”

The gop if anything is worse than the rats. And Lord knows the rats are bad enough. Calling the gop a “bucket of quislings” is an insult to the memory of vidkun quisling. At least vidkun quisling could be argued to have had some love for his country. That cannot be plausibly argued when it comes to the gop.

The anti-GOPe candidates have 70% of the vote in Iowa right now. The GOPe is dead. The news just hasn’t reached them yet.
Kabuki dance refers to actions that are intended for show only, because the outcome is already pre-determined. Good examples are the faux show votes that the GOP engages in to get tough on spending, immigration, Obama, etc. when they’ve already cut a deal with the Dems. It’s just ritual, designed to make it look like they put up a fight, but the outcome and capitulation was already pre-determined.

If they go Third Party it will be because the GOPe has refused to abide by a vote of the people in a primary election. In that case they are the SECOND party and the useless dead Republican Party has become the Whigs. Either way, we lose. A Rubio or Carson would have no chance whatsoever to fix what’s wrong.
If politics is blood sport and he should expect to be treated unfairly, why should he honor the pledge if the other side doesn’t? It’s either blood sport or it isn’t. It’s either a deal between two sides or it isn’t.
