Ted Cruz Super PAC Responds To Rubio Attack
Red State ^ | November 25th, 2015 | streiff

Posted on 11/25/2015 9:20:05 AM PST by Isara

Yesterday we reported on how a Super PAC that has apparently supports Senator Marco Rubio has taken up Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)'s attack line against Senator Ted Cruz. Back in July, Ted Cruz was one of a super-majority of senators who voted to curtail the ability of the NSA to bulk collect the phone use data of Americans. In the wake of the Paris attack, Rubio perceives there is a) a disadvantage to Cruz in his vote and b) highlight that vote and painting Cruz as “weak on terrorism” will work to Rubio’s advantage. I suppose there are GOP primary voters out there screaming for a more intrusive government, I’ve just never talked to any.

This is unfortunate. Rubio is a great candidate and demeans himself with this type of cheap attack that is going to end up hurting him more than his target. It seems like he is getting advice from the same nitwits that told Jeb Bush he could hurt Rubio by highlighting his voting record.

Be that as it may, a Cruz-supporting Super PAC, Courageous Conservatives PAC, has launched a YouTube ad in response. It criticizes, surprise, Rubio’s role in the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform fiasco and, in my view rightfully, that Cruz, not Rubio, has been the guy fighting McConnell’s efforts to push Obama’s agenda through the Senate.

"Surging" (Video of Ted Cruz's Super PAC ad)

Of course, neither man has anything to do with these ads, both are by Super PACs and coordination is prohibited. But one really hopes that if the race does come down to one between Cruz and Rubio that they are mature enough to pass on silly attacks on one another.

Rubio is “a great candidate”?

Rubio is a deeply flawed candidate.

Disappointing to see Rubio put all his eggs in the GOPe basket. He should be smarter man than that, especially after the career-damaging participation in the amnesty gang failure. Rubio flirts with the TeaParty and being a conservative but when push comes to shove his dark GOPe roots show. Reminds me of GHWB.

For me, Rubio is a UNACCEPTABLE candidate who would never get my vote...period. He is a duplicitous, despicable, lying Amnesty Pimp.

I like the chart too but it doesn’t take into account that each category has a different weight.

That’s why/how Trump, with a green dot on immigration, is handily beating (so far!) others with lots of green dots.

Stop the illegals from taking advantage of us financially, stop them from trying to assimilate the US into their culture instead of assimilating into US culture and Trump will have done his job.

That’s why it will be Trump/Cruz in 2016 then Cruz/? For eight hopefully.

Then Cruz to ussc.

I hope.

Looks like the Cruz strategy on Marco is going to paint him as a RINO in tea party clothing and pound him over the head with the gang of 8 and in the process damage his conservative credentials. There’s plenty of GOPe butt kissing by Marco done in his tenure in the senate to paint that picture, great strategy by team Cruz and I think this is the first time I’ve heard the term RINO in a campaign ad.

Rubio's Rubes are all over twitter today whispering in every ear that will listen that Ted Cruz is unelectable.

Oh wow, the anti-Rubio ad is strong and factual; a devastating response to the pathetic jab at Ted Cruz made by the Rubio SuperPAC. In the closing, it's effective in driving home the flawed character of Rubio and his betrayal of former supporters.

Good job by the Courageous Conservatives PAC!

The SuperPAC supporting Rubio lost that round BIG TIME.

Rubio is in it for power and prestige, but even more than that like every other Rino; he is in it for the money.

I voted for Rubio, he is guilty as far as I’m concerned of TREASON!

Its now Trump #1 and Cruz #2, I like it. Rube the Boobio and Carson third.

Jeb stay in the race thru NH so Rube the Boobio can’t get your voters.

Trump or Cruz either is OK with me.

The “chart” is not even accurate. Furthermore, if there were a category on “Camel Humping,” Isara would still post the chart.
