Happened this morning...

Russians hit it 6 miles inside of Syria, in the “Turkish Safe Zone”.

Funny, but I never knew popcorn was considered “Humanitarian Aid”. In some of the videos, you can hear “popcorn” cooking off in the burning trucks. It can’t be Ammo for ISIS, because the Turks would never disguise ISIS ammo as “humanitarian”.

Right?

Turkey has their finger in a wind that isn't blowing out in public and it's not blowing the way they expected.

You can bet the other members of NATO, save for Obama, have let Mr. Ego in Turkey know they're not going to lift a finger when the blow-back for this hits.

They also know damn well that anyone who knows squat can tell that a 17 second incursion wasn't long enough for anyone to transmit ten warnings before warming up a Sidewinder and firing on the Russian plane.

Anyone with half a brain also knows that when a highly placed Turk says that ISIS should be accepted by everyone and have a consulate in Turkey the numb skull making that statement isn't some sort of renegade who isn't part of mainstream Turkish thought. Spilled the beans on how the Turks really feel, that's all.

I agree you don’t do it in 30 seconds. I’m not sure you do it in 5 minutes either. I think the Turks were up, and patrolling, and waiting for a greenlight.

Russia is now sending empty jets to Turkey to remove their nationals. I suspect that Turkey knows it step on a Hornet’s nest. I will be interesting if Turkey can learn from this, rather than have to deal with the effects of an 800 lb. cruise missile warhead hitting one of their military bases.

Yes, the Turks shot it down and ISIS took care of the Russian chopper. You got it.

Interesting who is who here.

The Turkish military should intervene to save Turkey from her president (and save Ataturk’s legacy, also).

Russia seems to have taken away any
reason for Turkey to be scared.

“Scared? Wasn’t it reported today that the Russian response was, “Don’t do it again.”?”

That and “We are cutting you off”.

First they stab the bear in the ass and then worry about what they did ?

Personally , I would not bother me a bit for Putin to go in and flatted Erdgoan’s palace .
And if NATO has any brains it will ditch its commitments to disloyal , Islamist Turkey ASAP .
Turkey is NOT Europe , it is NOT an Atlantic nation , and it is profoundly pro-ISIS and anti-Israel .
We need military association with Turkey like we need a hole in the head . Only recently did Turkey even allow us to use our capacities at Incilrik . If I were President we would be closing Incilrik tomorrow . Better to support Israel and F Turkey

Well, they were Turkmen rebels. They are the Turkish version of anti Assad rebels.

Erdogan is a fool. He is helping ISIS and ignoring the Kurds. He is a rabid Muslim intent on returning the caliphate to Turkey, a move that Ataturk rightly made. There is no getting around the fact that the entire problem in the middle east is everything is based on a false premise—that being the false religion called Islam. Realize that and problem is solved, rather never solved...

Could be. I would also think that you would get a confirmation before taking that sort of action. That’s a very big play.

I’m sure it will all be known in time.
