Ankara: Turkey has moved 20 tanks to her border with Syria as tensions with Russia continue.

Military sources from Turkey said the tanks were moved by rail to an armored brigade at the western border with Syria.

Reports also say 18 fighter jets were sent on a patrol exercise near the border.

A military source told Turkey's Anadolu agency: "Accompanied by police and gendarmes, 20 tanks were sent by rail from Turkey's western provinces by railway to Gaziantep in the south of the country, and then redirected to the Syrian border."

I can tell you one thing Putin will not do: He will not violate Turkish airspace again.

I said we would, IE Obama, would grovel. It is his natural position once outside the country.

Tau, you changed one word, and completely changed the meaning. You changed “he” into the US. Jim was specifically referring to Obama.

Obama has been acting against the US both openly and secretly. No his chickens are roosting.

Putin . . . will not blink.

He has no need to sweat. . . . He also [does not] care if he takes some casualties.

HE laughs

That is all wonderful. It sounds like the ingredients of a real master.

But, this is a complicated world. I hope he does not miscalculate on a level that results in Paraguay becoming the world's new superpower. Because, Jim, that could happen. We need to support our country despite our feelings about our current president.

I am very confident that Putin is a bit more complicated than you make him out to be. At least, I hope that he is.

Maybe, he could escalate.

He holds all the cards because his opponent is a pussy who can not take casualties of any kind and enjoys little support at home. He also knows it will not escalate to a point whee Obama will have to take real steps as Obama would never have the stones to truly react.

Putin has played Obama in every encounter. Why would you think he would start losing to Obama over the worst member of an ancient out of date Cold War fossil like the NATO alliance?

Well, given the context, I really fail to see the significance of the distinction between what Obama does as our president in the area of foreign policy and what the USA does in the areal of foreign policy. If Obama sends troops somewhere, the USA sends troops somewhere. If Obama does not send troops somewhere, the USA does not send troops somewhere.

And, beyond that, the meaningless change from Obama to the USA was part of a question posed to Jim. I was not insisting that he agree or disagree with the question.

Putin is in Syria to prop up his puppet Assad. He is not defending Western Civilization.

Putin is honoring a defense treaty they have with Syria. Very commendable!

If he succeeds, it save the last obstacle preventing a caliphate being established. Yes I think that that qualifies as defending Western civilization.

Assad defended the Christians and was pushed into a civil war by head chopping radicals.

Just on whose side are you on?

He is a fascist and thug plutocrat!

80%+ Russians don't think so. The facts, not hearsay from those refusing to acknowledge the progress Russia has made in the last 30 years, show just the opposite.

Maybe, he could escalate

By doing what? His escalation so far has been increased bombing of the Turkomen rebels in Syria, the announced provision of anti-aircraft missiles to Assad, and cutting off trade with Turkey. There will be no military action taken against Turkey. In that regard, Putin is no fool. He understands the use of force and Turkey will not back down.

He holds all the cards because his opponent is a pussy who can not take casualties of any kind and enjoys little support at home. He also knows it will not escalate to a point whee Obama will have to take real steps as Obama would never have the stones to truly react.

Obama doesn't have to react. Turkey does and will.

Putin has played Obama in every encounter.

Substitute America for Obama. Our nation is the loser. As much as some may take delight and satisfaction out of Putin outsmarting Obama, America's interests are what suffer long after Obama leaves office. I don't have an air of triumphalism from a US defeat. I have a dog in this fight and it is America.

Why would you think he would start losing to Obama over the worst member of an ancient out of date Cold War fossil like the NATO alliance?

Putin fears NATO and would like to destroy it. NATO complicates his plans to restore Russia to the halcyon days of the Soviet Union. I look to Putin to put Article 5 to the test in the Baltic states using similar tactics honed in his takeover of Crimea, i.e., he will defend and protect ethnic Russians in those countries.

No it is a very simple World.

Those that are willing to use threat of force and back it up will get their way.

It will never get to the point that Obama will ever react with much more than a fig leaf response. He can not afford to do so.

He is a coward.

He is weak.

A nation that would elect such a person is no real threat to the likes of a thug bully like Putin.

Look at our ‘allies’!

They are even more embarrassing than Obama. A shoot out in Paris has caused Brussels to close the entire city for a full week. God forbid they actually have a real armed force close to their borders.

Putin is a school yard bully who has cowed the entire student body and the Principal (USA) as well. Bullies get away with it until real men stand up. Do you honestly believe this sad sack homosexual Obama will ever stand up? He squats to pee!

Putin F@cks super models and cheerleaders. Obama takes Reggie Love in the backside and sleeps with a Wookie!

Obama is a split tail, homosexual, girly man who has lost in every foreign encounter in the last seven years.

I see no reason to think he even knows what is gong on much less has a cohesive strategy to deal with a man like Putin.

I support our country. I am simply telling you what will happen due to the fact that we have a complete moron as POTUS.

I agree. He enjoys almost 90% approval ratings.

Men, even bad men, are popular if they project power.

Propping up a dictator who murders his own people in the hundreds of thousands. Syria helps support Hezbollah (a creation of Iran) and Hezbollah. This is a cabal that wants to wipe Israel off the map.

If he succeeds, it save the last obstacle preventing a caliphate being established. Yes I think that that qualifies as defending Western civilization.

He is primarily going after US supported rebels, not ISIS.

Assad defended the Christians and was pushed into a civil war by head chopping radicals. Just on whose side are you on?

I am on America's side. I want Assad and ISIS defeated.

No it is a very simple World.

If things are simple for you, then that should be good. I would say it sounds almost blissful.

I support our country.

We agree about the important thing then.

Obama should grovle and scrape before Putin AND the USA. Man boy playing intellectual has gotten millions killed and the world at the brink of WW III.
Resigning in shame is too good for him.

I don’t know why you would think I am taking delight in this situation. It is an outright embarrassment and tragedy that we have such a feckless, stupid leader.

No American leader has been shown to be so poorly equipped to deal with leaders on the World stage. This guy makes Carter look good!

Putin certainly harbors no fear of NATO. He has shown that already with his actions in Ukraine, Crimea, Syria and now Turkey. He knows his adversary is lacking testosterone and is weak by self inflicted wounds.

If we are lucky we may be able to reverse the damage Obama has done in the next twenty years.

However, with 50% of the population stupid enough to consider a Hillary presidency I see little hope for the future.

I am heartsick, I have four living sons and they are the ones who will suffer from this man’s insane nonsense.
