Did I miss White Friday? Or is that next week?....

Maybe I should check PrivilegedBook?

My daughter attended the Chicago Institute of Art for a year at about that time and there were surely no go areas but it was still an exciting, fun city. Now there are repeated attacks by BLM and Occupy which are closing in on the Miracle Mile and other downtown attractions. It is a purposeful targeting.

Hey, it’s just the black community doing their Christmas shopping. I lose more respect for a great portion of the black community every day.

They want respect and equality, well do they see anyone else doing these things. NO!!!

So, how many blacks have been killed by other blacks in the same time frame in Chicago? 400-500? Crickets from other Blacks. By the way I am not justifying what the policeman did. Just the irony.

Black Friday sale day.

Great deals.

100% off if you're black.

People are willing to fight, mace, and even kill to get their discounted waffle makers, TVs, and sneakers. These protesters better stay back.

Watching CNN and they were interviewing a guy (black) who said there are no black-on-black shootings, that it’s the cops killing all the black people.

Talk about low information voters. You cannot reason with these people.

I let the boys, ages 15, 16 and 17 at the time, go “out on the town” for an hour without my supervision at night. Told them they could go anywhere close except for Rush Street. Took them to see all the museums, acquarium and galleries and to the top of the John Hancock building. Disappointed that the Pier was generally shut down for winter, although it was in the 60’s the entire weekend. Glad they got to see it when it was a great, relatively safe area, at least where we were staying.

Sure your daughter also has some fond memories of her stay there. Hope you had a Blessed Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas.

We did, our daughter and SIL had the cooking duties this year and I got to read with our three year old granddaughter. Wonderful. I hope your Thanksgiving was as good. Merry Christmas.
