In a letter this week, the Office of Refugee Resettlement threatens states concerned about resettling Syrians with punitive responses if they refuse to accept the refugees. ORR explains that states may not refuse ORR-funded benefits for refugees on the basis of religion and national origin.
“Accordingly, states may not categorically deny ORR-funded benefits and services to Syrian refugees,†ORR Director Robert Carey wrote in the letter. “Any state with such a policy would not be in compliance with the State Plan requirements, applicable statutes, and their own assurances, and could be subject to enforcement action, including suspension and termination.â€

1. Cut off federal funds to the States? Guess what you federal tyrannical sh*thead?; the States can stop forwarding funds;
2. Send in the Army? "Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both. 18 U.S. Code § 1385;
3. Federalize State Reserves? Good luck with that one since US Code says no go. The Fedgov can only federalize State Reserves for warfare.

With due respect, I don't see what's coming down the line as a civil war conflict. I see it as REVOLUTIONARY WAR II against the totalitarians. Call them liberals, progressives, socialists, communists, facists, marxists, Maoists, et al. They are all totalitarian who think they know better how to manage your life. KILL THEM ALL!
The states really need to assert their rights. States rights are often not stood up for as they desire federal money. Here is a case where the money does not justify the risk. Perhaps the states will consider taking punitive actions against the feds for each punitive action the feds take against them.
Come on states. Assert your statehood. Assert your sovereignty. Do what is right for your citizens.

Round up every single refugee or illegal found in the state with the national guard and have them escorted to the nearest airport, loaded on to a plan and sent to DC.

I'm too old and too frail to even be involved in the above, but it makes me feel good just to say it. I'm a limp wrist puss. But hey, I got Progressive Insurance, so FLO is on my team...haha.
Did you know that county Sheriffs have the authority to push back against Fedgov forces? They are the ultimate authority when it comes to States' Rights. Even the Governors can't interdict a Sheriff's authority.
Go back and read “5 felonies a day” and get creative. For example:
* freeze the funds of any State or City agency related to the resettlement
* Freeze the funds of any NGO that is aiding the resettlement, and do a forensic accounting of their activity looking for fraud
* Do a building code inspection of any buildings that are to be used in the resettlement.
* Do a zoning code inspection of the facilities.
* Do a health inspection of any facility that is to be used to feed the refugees.
* Repair the water main feeding such a facility
* Repair the electrical power lines leading to the facilities.
* Review all of the official paperwork for the organization, and freeze all accounts while it is being investigated.
There are so many laws in this country that any State, County, or City can shut down any organization for months or even years and stay within the law if they really want to. And they can justify their actions by claiming they are only ensuring the safety of the refugees when they arrive.
