In a letter this week, the Office of Refugee Resettlement threatens states concerned about resettling Syrians with punitive responses if they refuse to accept the refugees. ORR explains that states may not refuse ORR-funded benefits for refugees on the basis of religion and national origin.
“Accordingly, states may not categorically deny ORR-funded benefits and services to Syrian refugees,†ORR Director Robert Carey wrote in the letter. “Any state with such a policy would not be in compliance with the State Plan requirements, applicable statutes, and their own assurances, and could be subject to enforcement action, including suspension and termination.â€

Lurkus- there was a case a long time ago where the federal government passed a law, and the states banned together and refused to comply AND stated that any federal agent who tried to enforce the law in their states would be arrested- The government was forced to rescind the law because they had no way of enforcing it from there on out- I had the info awhile back but have since lost it-
It would be absolutely fantastic if the states would do so again

This f’ing guy is supposed to be representing America and it’s people. How DARE he threaten his people with punishment for being wary and refusing to house potential terrorist from another sovereign country across the globe! He’s supposed to have OUR best interests in mind first and foremost and govern as such. I think his brazen attitude on certain issues is astonishing to behold. I would be ashamed were I him.

How many regiments does Washington D.C. have? How many bomber and fighter wings? How many warships? How many nuclear missiles?
You see, all of these weapons of war, and all of the manpower required to fight a war, are located in the several sovereign States.
We need to stop fearing these tyrants, and look to the very tools of freedom they have so trustingly deposited within our sovereign borders!
Forget the courts and all the legal jousting. It’s all Kabuki theater, designed solely to provide the federal government the advantage in any dispute, while the States spin their wheels and exhaust their resources in a one-sided fight.
Let’s stop deceiving ourselves: The truth is that, from the beginning, Obama declared war on the States - and based on all the evidence, heretofore, there simply is no refuting that fact. The time is come for the States to reciprocate in kind - and not with meaningless words or negotiations. you do not negotiate with evil - you stomp it out of existence. Period.
If Obama and his treasonous cronies want civil war, we can make damn certain that not one of them sees its end.
If we truly desire to stop this lunatic, then our solution to his tyranny only requires that we possess the will to carry out the deed and see it through to its conclusion.
Let’s stop dancing around the subject, pretending an election that is 12 months away is going to stop the bleeding. The patient is dying and we need to quit putting band aids on the wounds.
Let’s get real: Obama HAS subverted both the presidency and the Constitution. He is now going for broke by sending ISIS death squads into the several States. This is not some humanitarian move, this is jihad.
Obama is both a Marxist and a Muslim. His repeated assaults upon our liberties are NOT acts of incompetence; but rather, they are acts of war against the States.
Obama IS plotting our demise. He desires that America come under to Sharia law and we Americans either submit or else be killed - THAT outcome has always been Obama’s true goal.
