I’ve seen some efforts like this over the social media, as well. There seems to be a strong push to create the illusion that liberals somehow care about military people. If you want to see how liberals really feel about the military—when they are not engaged in a public relations effort—just mention that you are military and that people thank you all the time for your service. A liberal will betray his/her real feelings about the military when they react in utter shock. In their world, people can and should be spitting on members of the military, just like in the 60s.
