The very idea of not concentrating on God (by means of concentrating on lesser things) is also silly and untenable.
These “lesser things” are still a part of God’s plan, and He is very concerned about how we deal with these “lesser things”. A significant amount of Scripture focuses on how important it is to Him that we govern ourselves properly, even though to us this life will seem insignificant in comparison to His next plan.
