His momma said he was a good boy who was just starting to turn his life around and enroll in community college and was an ‘aspiring rapper’

Yo, Tyrece. I hear chimneys are good places to hide in Fresno when you’re on the lam.

Unfortunately, he will probably be released very soon, and continue in his ways, perhaps even more inspired....

The thing looks cheap.
I wasn't aware of the reputation of the Jennings. A quick web search indicates that they're pure crap.

Ghetto robber, ghetto gun. The sad thing is that they actually work well enough to kill people from time to time in the wrong hands. The good thing is that a poor resident might get off a shot with one to defend themselves.
Better than nothing for defense, but low end and generally unreliable.
For the money, a Makarov was 10X the pistol a few years back at about $100 new. Even used, I'd take the Mak.

“The man who was with his wife and 5-month-old baby wrestled the would-be robber out the front door and forced him to the ground, holding him until police arrived to arrest him.”
According to related story, the customer decided to intervene because the guy was waving the gun around and the cash register drawer had jammed/wouldn’t open. I’m guessing he figured the dirtbag was about to open fire.
At any rate, I’m glad this ended well. Taking on an armed man with your bare hands takes guts.

Another report stated that the incident was recorded by the security cameras, however, Dollar Tree declined to share the video.
That's a shame.

That gun looks like it was made from cold pressed, recycled Coors cans.
Hopefully, when mister Tyrece Jefferson is sent to the joint, the first thing he does is pick a fight with one of the meaner Mexican gangs.

Back in the 1980s the Jennings was described in gun magazines as a decent back up pistol for cops. maybe in 25 cal.
So, in my younger days when I had extra money, I bought a Jennings .22 and a Raven .25.
The Jennings was a jamming piece of junk. The Raven worked OK.
I must say that the Jennings had far less jams than a real piece of junk the Sterling .22. The STERLING was the worst piece of junk I ever owned.
Don’t have any of them now.

Tyrece No doubt Ubangi for "Affican Prince"
Another case of a racist white man "Holdin' a Brotha Down" and stopping him from "turnin he life 'roun" even though he "dindunuffin"!
There, I think I covered them all... Jesse and Al can stay home.

Who would rob a Dollar store? Okay yeah. In an earlier argument about these names they have I was told they want to attach themselves to their African roots by having African names. So, what African country would a name like “Tyrece” come from?

Tyrece sounds like a female ghetto name.
Perhaps he's Lebanese, from the city of Tyre ?
