Better than nothing for defense, but low end and generally unreliable.
For the money, a Makarov was 10X the pistol a few years back at about $100 new. Even used, I'd take the Mak.
Back in the 1980s the Jennings was described in gun magazines as a decent back up pistol for cops. maybe in 25 cal.
So, in my younger days when I had extra money, I bought a Jennings .22 and a Raven .25.
The Jennings was a jamming piece of junk. The Raven worked OK.
I must say that the Jennings had far less jams than a real piece of junk the Sterling .22. The STERLING was the worst piece of junk I ever owned.
