This morning Trump said Cruz would make a great President.
At a Cruz event Cruz said Trump won’t be the nominee, that people in that room know who the real conservative is.
At least that’s what was reported.

I am very disappointed in Cruz.
I know he has to stand his ground and say that “he”
will be the nominee, but that crack about “the real
conservative” was uncalled for.

I have a video where Cruz himself says - a true conservative doesn’t need to say it - yet, he keeps saying it about himself. So maybe he isn’t a true conservative at all. (just using his own words).
The “conservative” label will have to be his campaign, that’s what he’s known for. And like Trump said, Cruz will have to go through him to get to the top.
But I think it’s a bad move if Cruz goes there, not his area of expertise.

It would appear that Cruz wants to go it alone.
I think that the two of them would have been unstoppable.
Then, he can repeat what he just said about PACs and Puppets.

Well, the problem with that (what I used to think was a great) idea, is that Cruz supporters are rabidly against Trump (compare Trump to Hitler, here on FR, for example).
So, Cruz likely knows that his supporters don’t want to have anything to with Trump.
Cruz’s loss, imo.
Once bitten . . .Santorum's a great example. He got close enough to feel the glow last time and can't give it up now.

I have seen what some of the Cruz supporters have said about Trump,
and about those that support him.
Some of them are so snotty, it’s awful.
If they stuck their noses up any higher,
they would drown in the rain.
THEN, they come on the boards and say some of the most awful things I have ever seen on FR.
