This past Friday, a lunatic who lived in a shack with no running water or electricity killed three people in Colorado Springs, CO. He wound up going into a Planned Parenthood facility. Three people were killed. None of those were abortionists or patients. A pro-life Christian preacher/police officer was one of the victims.

Distance factor: Chase bank is approx 150 yards from PP. King Super's front door, on the SOUTH (opposite) end of the center, is even further approx 250-300 yds away, I'm sure some people did hear something, but unlikely they could see very well what was happening.
The shooting did not start at the Chase Bank. It started in the parking lot at the PP. People fled from PP to Chase, King Soopers.
And, police probably responded to where people were running - Chase. He has the road covered from Chase to PP, if they drive down it, they are going to be shot.
Correct on the people at King Soopers being unaware of what was happening. They knew something was happening because the man that drove there that had been shot. But they weren’t hearing what was happening. Witness there said that he tried to leave the store after finishing shopping and was turned back by management, that a police activity was happening and they needed to stay inside.
I saw one report that there were locked doors inside the building, but a couple that were shown were glass doors, thus I would have expected that if his goal was killing PPH people, a couple of rounds or the butt of his rifle would have broken the glass and let him in.
One of the locks looked like a simple slide card type that many buildings use. Yes, why did shooting begin outside and why no apparent targeting of folks inside, or pursing folks to shoot them.
He positioned himself to shoot several cops and bystanders behind and on the SW corner of the PP (if you listen to the police scanner audio, the very first calls indicate he was, while not yet inside, was at the PP, he was already shooting at the police from that location) and then he later shot his way inside but couldn't get past the interior security doors, but where he barricaded himself inside the PP for several hours and shot through the exterior walls at the police and randomly through the interior walls before surrendering. We know of at that of at least one person killed was at the PP "supporting her friend" - Jennifer Markovsky - not sure what her friend was there for, if for an abortion or for some other services but her friend was shot in the hand while inside the PP and Markovsky was killed while inside the PP.
Ke'Arre Stewart was also killed at the PP, he went with someone to the clinic, but it is not clear whether he was killed inside or while in his car parked out front of the building.
