I dont think large cal rifles are safe for home defense..
shotgun and soft handgun rounds for me...I like my neighbors...houses are 20 feet apart...on both sides.

.223 (AR-15) is a small caliber rifle, high power but small caliber. It is not so suitable for home defense. Shotguns are better for that but unwieldy in an immediate situation. A handgun with Corbon ammo is a lot better for home defense.
