Note the forward mounted rear sights. The No. 4 had the rear sights over the bolt. Also the No. 4 had an inch and a half or so of bare barrel forward of the front sight. Definitely a No. 1.

The term parchment is a general term for an animal skin which has been prepared for writing or printing. Parchment has been made for centuries, and is usually calf, goat, or sheep skin. Look around you, Ed. There’s a lot that is pretty messed up. All of the mess comes from two actions too many modern Americans seem hell-bent on doing: forgetting God and abandoning the Constitution.

And also by now, the 32% rate of unwed parenthood among whites is steadily escalating past the tipping point where the black family began to die off, and so are crime, school failure, substance abuse and alienation.
But like with prayer in schools, the elites get rid of outmoded, unnecessary relics of the past "for the children", because they know what's best for the rest of us. Look how well it's been working out.
