As Reagan knew well, the best way to project America’s leadership is by protecting and promoting America’s strength.

Who would have thought that the same generation which witnessed the horror of the unprecedented attacks on 9/11 would be OK with the way this president and Company are handling things, and not only that, lecture that we have to potentially let more of them in (because there might be some good people in the mix and we can’t hurt their feelings by denying them entry dontcha know.) It’s astonishing really!

I agree. Too bad Ted can’t bring himself to put a ban on Muslim immigration like Trump.

It is not an accident that the American hostages in Iran were released on January 20, 1981.

They came home because now a President Reagan was in the White House and the Ayatollah knew he would defend America

The usual trite speech and lack of charisma.

This is the reason Cruz has remained mired from the gitgo in "place" and "show" positions in this horse race.

I like Cruz's positions and his personal competitive efforts, but I actually felt no great urge to even watch his speech...and I believe I'm indicative of the feelings of most GOP voters (who are respectful, but uninspired by him)....as the polls consistently verify.

We need a president who will stand up and unequivocally defend the national security interests of this country.

Today, Libya is a failed state controlled by warring terrorist networks that pose a significant threat.

The intervention in Libya was, in a word, a disaster.

As bad as Assad was and is, jihadis controlling Syria will be worse.

I think we should listen to our closest ally in the region, @netanyahu.

Reagan was the single greatest liberator of human oppression the world has ever known.

Reagan did it not by forcing democracy on unwilling nations, but by an unwavering determination to defeat Communism.

We must use the bully pulpit of the presidency to invite others to unite against evil forces who seek to tear down freedom across the world.

Ted Cruz is right on all the issues, not loudly right on one or two and quietly wrong on the rest.

Easily within Reagan’s 80%. The others, not so much.

>>>The usual trite speech and lack of charisma.<<<

I listened to the speech online...it was a serious an detailed address about the major issue of the moment, US foreign policy. This speech was NOT, nor meant to be, a campaign stemwinder. Rather, Cruz was delivering a solemn assessment with his plans and approaches to many of the key flash points that are facing the US. He was even reading from a text...totally different from a campaign speech.
