Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday vowed this (sic) his company will "create a peaceful and safe environment" for Muslim users amid the raging political debate in the United States over terrorism and Islam.
"I want to add my voice in support of Muslims in our community and around the world," Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post. "If you're a Muslim in this community, as the leader of Facebook I want you to know that you are always welcome here and that we will fight to protect your rights and create a peaceful and safe environment for you."
His comments came after Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called for the United States to close its borders to all Muslims, a proposal that has drawn widespread criticism, including from Democrats and fellow Republicans.
Did I miss a recent national outbreak of violence against Muslims in America? I know about the terrorist attacks by the none-too-secret Jihadis in San Bernardino, but I've missed the massive backlash of "Islamophobia" that the media is always warning us about.
This celebrity's need to play along with the media by fear mongering about "right wingers" and the imminent counter-jihad we're about to inflict upon poor, innocent Muslims walking down the street is beyond tedious. It would be nice if just one prominent leftist were worried about the loved ones of the people killed last week.

Meanwhile the muslims he is protecting are using Facebook to run their propaganda against Israel and call for the murder of infidels.
Muslim's use FB to communicate in order to kill Americans and then post blatantly their allegiance to the Islamic State...and this fool feels a need to come out and indicate that FB is a safe place for Muslims?
The disconnect is obvious and clear.
Do not get me wrong, FB is great technology and a great tool for much good...but instated of reassuring the segment that is using it for ill, he should be warning them that anything remotely appearing to be related to THAT type of behavior will be slammed and immediately reported to authorities.
Otherwise , IMHO, he comes across as a quisling.
