Wouldn’t it be funny if all of Trump’s delegates stay with him and all the others change their votes to Trump.

If there are enough states that send delegates based on each of the candidate’s votes in their state, it is possible that Trump might not go into the Convention with 51% of all votes. Then things could get really interesting. Does anyone know how many possible votes would be winner-take-all, and how many would not be?

yeah well, no more.

how was it possible that with a Republican president and a republican congress, the debt limit was raised a number of times.

Bush even called them courageous to raise it.

I dont want to hear about 9/11. I live ten miles from the Twin Towers and worked in them twice.

It was awful.

It was not a reason for the debt to go through the roof.

You slash and burn the budget and ask the people to suck it up, i.e., welfare, food stamps, section 8, all kinds of subsidies, and on and on and on

Yep, as soon as Trump wins Florida’s winner take all primary, the race is basically over.

And if the same Florida bureacrats that gerrymandered out Allen West decide to change to 'proportional' delegeates then the stage is set for another Lexington, Concord, Fort Sumter.

If he wants to send a real clear message then Trump should now schedule an open carry Second Amendment rally in Cleveland outside the QuickenLoans arena starting July 18, 2016. Let's see how the metrosexual goatee'd girley-man (R)epublicrats feel about their peeps walking point outside their smoke-filled back rooms. The tree needs watering.

I wonder how Kasich, sitting Governor of Ohio, is factoring into security for that event. Hmmmmmmm.

OK, this comment answered my previous question. Now, one more, how does this hybrid/trigger business work? After looking at this map, my guess favors a competitive Convention even more.

If by GOPe you mean Bush, Grahm and whoever, nothing. But remember many on these threads consider Cruz and Rubio unacceptable.

Unless someone was born yesterday, Rubio is unacceptable.

With all respect to the politically learned here: this is exactly what the Democrats want. In my humble opinion, Trump is a plant for Hillary just like Perot was twice for her husband. The Republicans will split between Cruz, the only God-honest legitimate conservative in the race that could win, and Trump, because he’s charismatic and brash. But let’s be honest here: he is not a conservative. He’s pushing all the hot buttons to rile up the base. He’s the only GOP guy who’s refused to back another runner. Don’t you all get it? It doesn’t matter who runs against Hillary if Trump has any opposition. They will split the anti-Left and we’ll get 8 years of Hillary. Remember Perot and remember Bull Moose.

Again, with all respect to those who support Mr. Trump, he’s not the worst but he’s not the best. Ted Cruz is.

As long as Trump stays above 20% everywhere and no one else gets above 20%. It’s mathmatically impossible for him to lose the nomination.

I lived in Iowa from 1974 to 2001, save for my time in the service. Iowa sure isn’t perfect, but it is head and shoulders above such cesspools as New York state.

I know what you mean :-) but should point out that vast parts of this New York State are every bit as conservative as vast parts of Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona, etc.

We can all agree that the liberals have devolved the United States of America into the Liberal City States and Urban Centers of America, and the 'state' paradigm is on life support. In reality there is one, two, five, or ten, massive urban cesspools per state where the cancer cells are concentrated.

If Trump wins at the convention, I am almost sure they will run Mitt or someone else as an independent 3rd party. The same thing happened against Reagan in 1980 with John Anderson, a RINO Republican.

Exactly what happened. People have forgotten that Reagan got just 50.8% of the popular vote against those two, but of course it was a landslide because of the vote placement on the electoral map.

Four years later he received 58.8% - a massive result and it was from pulling back in everybody, including blue collar (D)ems. He was rewarded for concentrating on and creating jobs, a booming economy and restoring the morale, reputation and might of the USA military.

You could say he made America great again. Trump's strategy is mirroring Reagan's and the reaction of the scumbag (R)epublicrats is precisely the same. Good catch.

One difference I hope to live to see is that Trump carry a grudge and do what Reagan did NOT do and drive a stake into the heart of these GOPe bastards.

It is reminiscent of the fact that the Founders also screwed up by being far too benevolent to the defeated Torrie traitors and loyalists. New York City should have been burned to the ground as well as a few other hotbeds of treason. They immediately regrouped and made the Federalist party their instrument of tyranny. Just like the Communists have made the (D)ummycrat party their own.

If you fail to shoot the wounded enemy and finish them off they *will* appear again on the battlefield in the future, most likely shooting at your children or later generation, not necessarily in uniform.

Nobody "ran" Anderson. He did it on his own and didn't get many Republican votes. With Bush and Baker on Reagan's team it's just silly to say that Establishment Republicans opposed Reagan once he got the nomination.

I predict Trump will still out maneuver these GOP clowns at their convention, and being the spineless that they are, they’ll fold like cheap suits(sorry for the cliche). It’s in their nature.

How funny is it that they actually think they can out-maneuver and out-negotiate him? Trump does not like to lose and has a bare knuckle fist under that velvet glove.

He has a 7 month headstart on preparing for the convention and a battery of lawyers who fight in the most corrupt cities and courts in the USA and abroad.

And now he has something else, an Army of people willing to crawl over broken glass and minefields to vote for the guy. And many of them are armed. The Globalist, Crony, Open Border, Thousand Points of Light class are juggling hand grenades now.
