That’s pretty much my experience, too.
It is likely the sale of this particular weapon was legally purchased, perhaps with the purchaser not being truthful on the Form 4473. That isn’t to say it couldn’t have been purchased by one of these Moderate American Muslims and given over to some group collecting arms to ship out of the country.
Fasten your seat belts for the Fast and Furious redux. The Paris attack is our fault. More gun control needed. Got it.
If it was exported in 2013, it can’t have passed through too many hands before ending up with the Islamic Jihadis in Paris. It’s not like this gun has been here for 30 years and been sold a few times.
It will be interesting to see who it was sold to here, first. I predict we never hear the name, because it will be suppressed by the Feds since the individual’s name will include “Mohamed” (50% or better probability), or be similarly Middle Eastern / Islamic.

One wonders how many times has a ‘tame’ Muslim been given a fistful of money by his mosque’s ‘self-defense committee’ to go out to buy a weapon, scampered back to the mosque with his deadly trinket so it could be added to their arsenal (oh, that word!), whereupon it could then be dispatched overseas for duty in, e.g., Paris?
If you have the ability to smuggle arms into a country, why would you bother with getting more expensive, semi-auto weapons from the U.S. when you could bring in cheaper, full-auto versions from lybia, syria, iraq, etc, etc, etc....?

We know of the murders committed by those killed with Obama’s Fast and Furious guns.
Apparently Obama’s customs department didn’t have a problem with this firearm being exported.
The Regime has been arming the “moderates” in the Syria (aka ISIS). Wouldn’t be surprised if this weapon is one of theirs. It fits in with Century Arms being a wholesaler. The wholesaler sells to the Feds, the Feds ship there arms overseas to the (ahem) moderates. Fast and Furious 2.0.
My thoughts exactly. Something fishy going here. So far the only one making the claim is the manufacturer in Serbia. No comment yet from ATF, FBI or Century Arms.

It’s either that. That someone in Serbia faked the sales to Century while supplying them to illicit dealers or someone stateside bought them and had them exported out as a way of covering their tracks while arming Syrians.
Think about it, there’s so many AKs nobody will really notice that it’s not locally sourced unless they personally inspected the import stamp.
I think corruption is most likely but I wouldn’t put it past the CIA to covertly arm Syrians by giving them arms.

Part of the Hillary questioning before Congress concerned the gun running enterprise that the US embassy was aware of and involved with. I didn't get to listen to the whole thing at work so I don't know how much of it is on record. Just WHO were arming, Libyans and or other peoples? Maybe Obama's CIA bought it from the guy in Florida and shipped them to the Middle East.
If a gun dealer sought to exclude a muslim from legally buying a gun cair would calling them bigots
