Keeping guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them continues to be a priority for President Obama, and the White House is sending hints that he plans to do it soon by executive action.
Meanwhile, a White House spokesman on Thursday called it a "tragic irony" that legal gun sales are soaring.
Speaking at a vigil in Newtown, Conn. Wednesday night, Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett said the president has asked his team to send him a proposal "in short order" outlining how he can use his executive authority to expand background checks on gun buyers without congressional action. ...

Obama - The bottom line is that I’m in charge, boy. Not you. I won’t comply. What are you going to do about it? Nothing. You aren’t good enough.
The ‘irony’ of it is that it will pit CAIR and all the other Muslim groups and ADL against the anti-gun movement and Obama. Terrorists will not be without the means to get their guns legally (through straw purchases and backdoor deals with sympathizer citizens).
Recent surge in gun sales are directly attributable to the fecklessness of our government and distrust of same.
There is nothing tragic about more guns in the hands of the American people. There is nothing ironic about arming ourselves as America faces the final year of the most dangerous enemy in our history.
The not so tragic irony is that Obie and company are responsible for awakening the sleeping giant that is buying these guns.
I believe that there will be massive non compliance by the public and a surprising number of LEOs.

Hey boobs in the White House — the reason people are buying guns is because, firstly, they are afraid and don't believe that the police and government will protect them and secondly, because they are worried that Obama and Democrats will try to take away our rights to own firearms and so buy that gun now.
The “common sense gun control” of California did not keep guns out of the hands of Farook or Malik.
They are “completely partisan” as a one-party state would be, yes.
