At this point I really donât care who the nominee is, Trump or Cruz would be fine by me. THIS is the point where we have to choose one, and Trump is very different from Cruz. One of them is clearly better than the other in terms of advancing conservatism.
I care who the nominee is because I want to ADVANCE the cause of conservatism.
It seems to me that many folks think in terms of preventing the Democrats from advancing. Playing defense. A losing strategy.

This election is Trump's to lose. He does need to be more specific if he is going to attack Cruz...Don't screw it up Trump. You can do better." I think Trump is saying these things because it's all he's got.

..I’m sorry Trump finally fell for what the MSM has been trying to do—get him to say things like this about Cruz. I hope this is the end of it...

Kenny, from everything I've been able to find, Ted Cruz says, "I categorically oppose amnesty." The only thing I find Cruz wanting to do is to enforce existing laws and deport illegal aliens. Sanctuary cities, law enforcement "norms" that allow illegals to go free -- out the window, and enforce the laws instead. And while we're at it, dry up the welfare government largesse that gives money to illegals while they're here. It makes perfect sense to me, especially as I know that mass deportations would result in bloodshed.
Cruz's immigration solution seems right and sensible, conservative. Trump's seems high-handed, government-heavy, and angry.

"We stopped the Gang of Eight bill. Ted Cruz led the fight against the establishment. We would be living under amnesty right now if Cruz had not succeeded." - Rush Limbaugh Fox News Sunday WALLACE: Ted Cruz.
LIMBAUGH: Brilliant, and conservative through and through. Trustworthy, strong, confident, leader, and somebody in whom you can totally depend.
Bump THAT post! :^)

He is also fairly inarticulate for such a smart businessman. "Fairly inarticulate"??? I'd say that's putting it mildly! The man fairly babbles, but in an interesting way.

That's okay, though Cruz is the only guy for me, I can overlook it in Trump (though it's bad in a statesman), because a lot of businessmen are terrible at expressing themselves, yet they manage to muddle through pretty well!

“May the better man succeed, but that man had better have the fight to beat the filthy she-RAT”
Trump started that this morning on Fox Sunday. And, despite what tin-foil hat Jeb! says, what Trump said about Hillary can not be walked back. That was probably Trump’s message to the tin-foil hat conspiracists like Jeb!, Jonah Goldberg, numerous posters on this site.

IMHO, one of Trump or Cruz will end up supporting the other in the general election. What are you even thinking about that for? Why is it even on your mind?
They're opposing each other right now. Two men vying for one seat. We have to choose one. We wish we could have both or a little of each -- it would just be so perfect! But we have to choose one. SOON.
IMHO, the choice is pretty clear: Ted Cruz.

Your tagline: 100 percent defensive-strategy driven. Always playing defense, trying to keep the bad guys from advancing.
Time to start playing offense. Time to start advancing conservatism.

BRAVO BRAVO bravo -- what an excellent post. Trump's vaunted "business genius" indeed. The man apparently puts a multi-billion-dollar value on his "personal brand" alone, outside of his tangible assets Forbes magazine estimated to be $4.1 billion; Trump claimed closer to $9 billion as self-worth, putting a high value on his "brand."
Meanwhile, pretty much every other billionaire don't need no steeenking "personal brand."

I know, right? The doctors told me that one of the worst symptoms of TDS is an almost crippling awareness of reality, as well as the inability to ignore delicious irony. It's a struggle, I admit, but as the guys in my weekly support group say, you've just got to take it one day at a time.
Aw, man ... POST OF THE THREAD!
