Trump: Ted Cruz 'a maniac' in Senate
Washington Examiner ^ | 12/13/15 | Sarah Westwood

Donald Trump took aim at Sen. Ted Cruz Sunday, launching one of the first of what will likely be a series of attacks against the candidate now leading him in Iowa.

"I don't think he's qualified to be president," Trump said, arguing the Texas Republican's tenure in the Senate makes him too divisive for the job.

Cruz has been "frankly a little bit of a maniac," Trump said in a taped interview on Fox News. "You're never gonna be able to get things done that way."

"You can't walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars and not be able to cajole and get along with people," Trump said. "He'll never be able to get anything done and that's the problem with Ted."

Trump also appeared Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," touting his business success, his best-selling books and his TV show "The Apprentice."

"You don't make that kind of success without judgement," he added.

Trump was responding to comments from Cruz earlier this week questioning the real estate mogul's judgement. A Bloomberg News/Des Moines Register poll released Saturday showed Cruz opening a 10 point polling lead on Trump in Iowa.

"I would say I have far better judgement than Ted," Trump said. "I'm more capable."

Trump also stood by his controversial proposal to ban Muslims from entering the country on a temporary basis despite condemnation from the leaders of both parties.

"I'm about security. I'm about safety. I'm about borders," he said. "We have to have the right people coming into our country."

Trump defended his Muslim policy by arguing his Muslim friends supported the idea.

"They know they have a problem," he said.

The GOP front-runner blasted President Obama and Hillary Clinton for their reluctance to criticize radical Islam in the wake of the San Bernardino shooting.

"If you don't identify the problem, you're never going to solve the problem," he said.

Please send me a link where Cruz said he will deport illegals, not repeat criminal offenders.

And then once we have finally demonstrated to the American people that we have secured the border, the problem is solved, its not a promise from a politician, its not empty words, its been done, then and only then, I think we should have a conversation with the American people about what we should do about whatever smaller population remains.

Reporter asks Ted Cruz four times: How do you define amnesty?

If you go through his remarks, you will see this over and over again. He wants to postpone deportation talk until after the border is sealed aka after the election.

Oh really? Than why didn’t the city of New York pay for it? Like the skating rink and other projects that were under construction for years and could never seem to get completed, New York played the same game as Boston played with the Big Dig. Projects kept costing more but were never completed because of the graft and corruption.Trump built it and he also completed the skating rink among other things.

2000 New Yorkers deserved a memorial. Why is it the only person willing to pay for it was Donald Trump????????????????

You obviously have never had a bone spur. Perhaps you have been able to sustain the pain of a splinter in your figure?

Tell me, has Ted Cruz ever built so much as a sandcastle? How many people depend on Ted Cruz for their livelihood apart from his family? how many international deals has Ted Cruz closed? I’m sure you get my drift.

The whole point is that Trump was too hot-headed and shallow to attack McCain on anything substantial, so he went instead for the lowest blow of all that grievously insulted every single American POW who ever lived and every single American POW who ever died?
..............................................................

If what you say is true, why have so many POWs from the Hanoi Hilton said the same thing as Trump. McCain was protected by the Vietcong because of who his father was. You’ve been suckered if you think he ever thought of his cell mates first.

Meanwhile, pretty much every other billionaire don’t need no steeenking “personal brand.”
.......................................................
just a few Personal Brands that put a lie to your ridiculous assertion against Trump:
Hilton and all major hotel chains, Gucci, Every single dress designer or Men’s Wear designer, Ferragamo and all major shoe designers,Candy makers such as Hershey and Reese, Furniture companies, etc, etc. etc.

In fact, almost every major type of business has its leaders which are usually doing business under “STEEENKING PERSONAL BRANDS”

GROW UP and find a better argument. You sound like a little child bragging “My daddy is bigger than your daddy.”

(1) The city donated land in the heart of the financial district - or in other words, tens of millions of dollars. Hundreds of corporate and private donors designed and built the monument. Only draft-dodging Donnie Trump tried to take full credit for the monument. It wasn't his idea, it wasn't his land, and it wasn't his money.

(2) Ronald Reagan never built any casinos or strip clubs either. George Washington didn't develop any condos, and Abraham Lincoln didn't build any skate rinks.

Your belief that only real estate developers are qualified for political office is not only laughable but implies a weird obsession on your part.

(3) Donald Trump's firm probably has a few thousand employees left, but he destroyed more jobs than he created as he bankrupted four different casinos through his incompetence.
