Talk radio host Mark Levin criticized Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his remarks on ethanol, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, and ethanol, arguing Trump âreally screwed up,â and particularly criticized Trumpâs position on ethanol as âpanderingâ and asking, âwhy would anybody support that who runs as a Republican?â on Monday.
Levin said, âI am not going to defend reckless comments, where a candidate or candidates defend the poison that is the Republican establishment, especially [Sen.] Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)48% in the United States Senate. I am not going to defend blowing out our federal budget subsidizing agribusiness and leftists with ethanol that screw up your engine and drive up the price of fuel and the price of corn. I am not going to defend an attack led by the media and the left trying to smear Antonin Scalia, whoâs been on the Supreme Court for over 30 years, one of a handful of justices whoâs trying save this republic because of one election cycle.â
He added, âI do not believe in cults of personalities, by the way the RINOs do.â Levin cautioned that heâs not endorsing anyone, but that the election is about the most conservative candidate to save the republic and the Constitution, which is the most important issue, and âa candidate who does not understand that we are losing this republic is a candidate that I canât support.â

Which is good, because the party mascot is supposed to be an elephant, not an assclown.
But he’s been right on so much else...
Wow! What’s with Trump. Badmouthing Cruz, Scalia and Carson isn’t the wisest thing to do. He’s taking RAT talking points. Maybe he’s not as conservative as he’s tried to appear.
If so I am still down to vote Trump and probably am not changing my mind. This is just to unique of an opportunity.
Cruz is about my age I want somebody older and bolder.
Well which is it Mark? is it about the most conservative candidate? is it about saving the republic? or is it about saving the constitution?
Trump needs to scale it back. I’m for him and Cruz, but if he wants to attack in this manner then he loses me and my family.
I've said for a long time, Trump has been GREAT for this election cycle and for our country. He has helped awaken the LIV a bit and put conservative issues in front of them. And they are talking about it.
I hope Cruz is just starting to get wind in the sails.
RE: Cruz is about my age I want somebody older and bolder.
Raises hands!! I’m older and bolder and could use the pay increase!! Vote for me!! LOL
Full court press by the uniparty, anybody but Trump! FUML.
Looks like they may have hatched out a divide and conquer plan for Bubba's wife to end up in the WH.
Clinton's base is solid and none of the attacks Trump has tossed her direction are going to change that. The only chance she has is for the opposition to split. That is happening.
Trump is about my age and I want somebody younger and less cranky.
I don’t listen to radio, but Levin is exactly correct to say this. When Trump said those things, he forgot his conservative act, and spoke what he really meant - his true self came out. In reality, he is nothing politically - he says whatever gets him what he wants. Over and over he says he wins - whatever it takes, he wins. I would never trust him with this country and my life.
Or, is he really overtly supporting Cruz?
Either one is OK as long as I don't have to listen.
You are insightful
Hey, I don't think ANY of these guys can fix what's wrong with America. It's too big, and anyway, the shadow government goes on and on, aggregating more power to itself every single day. But Trump looked like a panderer to me from the first speech I saw. Especially on Christianity; that really scorched me.
Stupid p[people believe there's even a conspiracy afoot!
RE: Stupid p[people believe there’s even a conspiracy afoot!
Might want to step away from the keyboard after your tenth shot of whiskey. Just sayin’.
No...Ted Cruz needs to step up and defend himself.
