And on another point, Russia is not threatening to kill us. Russia and America have a common enemy....radical Islamic terrorists. And Russia has 2nd or 3rd most powerful military in the world. It is better to get along on common goals. Trump & Putin are giving out signals they can get along.

That is a gross understatement.
Even in 1988/90, Russia wasn’t our enemy. The 3rd world countries were our enemy (ME, various countries in Africa, LA, etc.) and the liberals in this country were/are our enemies. The Cold War ended (thanks to Reagan, Thatcher, and Pope JPII).
Putin is looking out for his country’s interests. Obama isn’t looking out for our country’s interests.
