The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s reliance on poorly-sited weather stations to calculate surface temperatures is inflating the warming trend of the U.S. and maybe even the rest of the world, according to a landmark study looking at three decades of data.
“The majority of weather stations used by NOAA to detect climate change temperature signal have been compromised by encroachment of artificial surfaces like concrete, asphalt, and heat sources like air conditioner exhausts,†Anthony Watts, a seasoned meteorologist and lead author of the study, said in a statement Thursday.
These “compromised†weather stations run hotter than stations that are well-sited, and are used by NOAA as a benchmark to make upward adjustments for other weather stations that are part of the agency’s official temperature record.
Watts and his fellow researchers found only 410 “unperturbed†weather stations out of the 1,218 stations used by NOAA to determine U.S. climate trends. These “unperturbed†stations don’t need to be adjusted by NOAA because they had not been moved, had any equipment changes, or change in the time
It isn’t the facts, it isn’t the truth. It’s about data they can either influence or manipulate or distort to create a problem that seems outside the realm of ideologically caused reasons.
Identify a fake problem, create a dire need for resolution and then begin a campaign to rob people of their freedom and their resources to redistribute to those who will vote for more of the same.
They are worse than Nazis, Communists, Fascists, Humanists and Socialists combined.

I used to run a blog years ago, and did a lot of articles on global warming- and I found evidence online from others hwo investigated this issue years ago, and they went around photographing where NOAA’s temperature gauges were located- You can’t believe some of the spots- it was so blatantly deceitful that this fact alone should have shut down the whole ‘man-caused climate change’ lie once and for all- but nope- it just got swept under the rug
This fella found gauges placed above large blacktop parking lots, right next to large restaurant fan motors on rooftops, etc- it was disgusting-
If you are using data from 100’s of thermometers scattered over a wide area, with data being recorded by hand, by dozens of different people, the observational resolution should be reduced. In the oil industry it is common to accept an error margin of 2-4% when using manually acquired data for example.
I was taught about such heat islands in my meteorology class in 1959.
