It used to be, in the days when integrity meant something, calling someone a liar was about the worst thing a person could do.

And people worked to prove that the were not liars.

The difference between Bill and Hill’s lying is that Bill tried hard to both believe his own lies and get us to believe them. He had an inner image of Goodness and Truth and he tried to fit his lies into this and Be that (phony) Truthful Guy.

Hillary is going off half cocked and defensive at all times, and so lies just spring unbidden from her lips. She can’t back them up but she can get vicious and mean about them; she will turn and insult those who catch her.

Another kind of liar, we’ll call him the Island Style Liar, is Obama. He looks at us and lies with a blank, DONT GIVE A BLEEP IF YOU KNOW IM LYING look on his face. He doesn’t believe his lies; he doesn’t care if you believe them; he knows he won’t have to answer for any of them; he doesn’t give a flying fig. Pure contemptuous, arrogant lying.
