I have dismissed such as wishful and simple minded thinking; but, I am coming to think about it as an increasingly possible scenario. Of course, it hinges on what Cruz sees as his path forward in 2016 and beyond.
To this point, Trump has broken new ground. His next book should be "The Art of the Narrative." He's got the MSM devoting whole news cycles to his Tweets and one liners. Unprecedented, it is.
Being unprecedented, it's also uncharted. No one can know if it is sustainable. We do not know what we don't know.
I suspect the "conventional wisdom" about picking a VP might be passe' as well. The fact that no bridges have been burned, give some credence in my mind to such a possibility.
And while the idea of Cruz as AG or CJ of SCOTUS is very attractive, the seat "one heartbeat away" is becoming more intriguing.

I want Cruz to be president. Being Trump's veep would kill that.
