Okay - here’s the story from Fox.
Meh. Non-scandal. There’s a lot talk that she’s a B who likes to chew people out. And she may been have sauced and got chippy with the cops, big. Being a B is far cry from being a democrat, so is getting drunk at a party.
I disagree. It’s long past time that Republican office holders realized that they’re held to a higher standard. The dems will exploit bad behavior by them, and we should be fed up because they got office campaigning as conservatives, both for government issues and family values.
The problem is when they have nothing to pin on our side they make crap up. When they make an accusation we need to remind them to clean their own house.

I listened to the recordings and read the cnn and fox stories. Didn’t seem to be a big deal to me. The only thing that I feel she did wrong was say she had “one cocktail”. C’mon. Either tell them it’s none of their business or tell them you possibly had one too many.
I would say one can drink and still do his/her job.
That would be my take on his point.
And I was a White Ribbon Baby.
I can't really recall any situations where stuff was made up, except when some of the first conservative candidates were easily marginalized because they weren't ready for the rigors of a campaign.
I can think of some situations where it seemed that pols and candidates have been set up.
But what would you say if she was a democrat?
Perhaps if the leader of the UK hadn’t been a raging alcoholic, hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved.
Look what a neat job our drug addled leader is doing today.
Probably that’s she a c word but I’d say the same thing of any commie democrat even if she’s was the sweetest lady in the world. ;)
If what you mean to ask is would I think it was a significant scandal if she was a rat instead of a Republican, while I’d revel in anything embarrassing to a rat, I don’t think so. I don’t see any laws broken (by her at least, if some staff was throwing stuff out the window maybe that’s a crime). I don’t see it coming close to something you could demand a resignation over or anything like that.
Certainly this strikes a blow againt any VEEP talk for her, but she doesn’t make sense as a running mate for Cruz, Trump, or Rubio, anyway.

It isn’t the drinking she is in trouble for. It is the “hint” of abuse of power; she demanded the police not respond to a call about people disturbing the peace.
Maybe she found a bottle of what General Grant used to drink in the Civil War. Lincoln wanted to know what it was so he could order it for his other Generals.
She abused the power of her office. She bullied the 911 dispatcher, and tried to get the name of the guest who called in a noise complaint.
Completely unacceptable.
Who gives a crap about what two Santa Fe cops have to say about the second best governor New Mexico has ever had!
