Ted Cruz is just like his clothes: carefully thought out, ill-fitting and unlikable (barf alert!)
The Guardian ^ | Wednesday 23 December 2015 | Cindy Casares

He's not 'one of the guys' on the trail, but he also didn't seem to belong in the Ivy League - or even among politicos

The weather has finally cooled a bit, and that can only mean one thing: time for Ted Cruz to dump his ill-fitting suits and ties for his even iller-fitting collection of flannel shirts and leather jackets. The #Cruz Country Christmas Tour (in a private jet) is under way and headed to a town near you.

Why does the Texas senator lumberjack around America when the temperature drops? Is he trying to create synergy with the cover of his latest book?

That's possible, but the real reason Ted Cruz wears flannel shirts and leather jackets in the winter is because he wants nothing more than to be perceived as one of the guys. Not just because it could win him the White House, but because he's always been that kid in school that had no friends. The one whose parents made him insufferable by constantly telling him how much better he is than everyone else.

Cruz's father, Rafael, has been brainwashing his son since he was about four years old to believe he's "gifted above any man he knows" and "destined by God for greatness", the kinds of delusions that were guaranteed to get him stuffed in a locker by junior high.

Unfortunately, training to become Daddy's little messiah didn't leave Cruz time to develop even the slightest sense of style, and GQ has some stern fashion advice for him.

"In general, we're not exactly sure why presidential hopefuls think that oversized, awkward leather jackets will make them seem more, 'relatable to voters'," the website said on Tuesday.

I can’t imagine a better way for the author to clearly demonstrate her complete shallowness and lack of anything even resembling intellectual depth. Typical.

Ted is my guy, but someone. Needs to take him to a men’s store and buy a few hand tailored $500 suits. Right now he dresses liike a sanitation worker and not a President.

I wish he would, but at this point I don’t see it.

Yes, of course I have a source.

It's FR article "Ted Cruz: 'No Interest In Being Trump's VP'", posted 12/24/15. There is also a link in the article to the radio clip where Cruz states this vocally in an interview...also he obliquely squashes the idea of Trump being HIS veep if he (Cruz) is the primary victor.

I would post the link to the FR article, but I don't know how. Use the FR "search" feature to bring it up.

I have posted a zillion times for months that there will never be a Trump/Cruz slate, nor a Cruz/Trump slate for certain political and personal reasons....but there are some folks here that are don't want to accept this....and they continue to fantasize on and on about their "dream team".

Copy and paste the URL (the internet address in the horizontal box at the top of the page) on your reply back to me. (”Ted Cruz: ‘No Interest In Being Trump’s VP’” doesn’t yield any results on FR search.)

That silly polka-dot graph you post constantly is ridiculous. For example, Trump’s 2A policy is better than any other candidate, with his national concealed carry idea.

And that you say to contact some outside group if we do not like the ratings is you just trying to deflect responsibility that YOU are posting this simplistic hogwash over and over.

I am going to post this comment every time I see your silly polka dots! (The fact that I have also mastered cutting and pasting is hardly impressive, is it, LOL)

And of course Michelle Obama is the epitome of elegance, just like Jackie Kennedy!!

Carol Burnett looked a lot nicer in a gown made out of drapes.

I always did think Cruz could use a new suit. It would improve his appearance.

The first time I saw that picture, I cringed that Ted's jacket's cuffs need to be properly hemmed in the worst way. It's almost as if Donald lent him a jacket for the photo... since Ted is mostly a rolled up shirtsleeves sorta guy.

Someone mentioned that before, Ted borrowing Trump’s jacket. If a picture ever said a thousand words....
