Me, too. I never understood why anyone would want to open carry. Just my two cents.

One of the main advantages is that under the present law if the weapon was seen no matter how hard you tried to conceal it you were in violation. Now you won’t be if it’s visible either by design or accidentally. I’m not anticipating a lot of Texans walking around like Marshall Dillon with the weapon strapped to their hip! Could be wrong... time will tell.
You could always carry a rifle in the open but haven’t seen one being done so in quite a while!

I don't "want to open carry" -- but, there are times when I do not want to be "required to conceal".

HUGE difference...
