It Has Come to This (Donald Trump, for all of his flaws, must do.)

But I continue to shout in my head as I hear you speak, missing the opportunity to nbroadcast a message of American Exceptionalism, Family, Faith, constitution, Rule of Law, Limited Government, Liberty and Leadership in the world.

Have you ever considered the fact that there is absolutely nothing in almost 70 years of history with the man about faith, the Constitution, limited government? There isn't. Not who he is.

nothing like reciting GOP E and Jurassic media talking points to support the man who is supposedly beating the GOP E and Jurassic media.

Friendly fire is far more maddening.....

I am tired of living in the dumping ground for whatever group of hostile immigrants the social engineers in Washington import to ease their guilty consciences.

Let them move their Mexican underclass and angry Syrian colonists to Martha's Vineyard or Marin County north of San Francisco.Maybe this would help our legislators and "opinion makers" alleviate a bit of their never-ending narcissistic angst.

Pure gold.

Trump could be resting on his laurels the remainder of his days and .....'in a gated, crime free community' ...... No......he has chosen to stick his neck out.....literally....... Day after day, 24/7

Trump's doing this for one reason and one reason alone - to save our country. You're right Guenevere - he could live very well without all this hassle... God bless him.

Thing is though that attacks don’t stick to Trump. He’s already committed enough faux pas to sink 7 Kerrys, 4 McCains and a Romney or three. No effect on Trump.

In the end, you're measured not by how much you undertake
but by what you finally accomplish.

Donald Trump

Trump is a quintessential American: brash, self-confident, optimistic, and decisive. His appearance on the political scene is the natural product of decades of attempts by the elite to “tame” American culture into some sort of Euro-light effete mush.

... I have come to the epiphany that protecting absolutely every minority's feelings is not a rational government's primary purpose.

You will forgive me, too, if I stop ignoring fourteen centuries of Islamic history, the stark brutality of Islamic scripture, and the barbarism of contemporary Islamic states.

Give me a gated, crime-free community to live in, and maybe I can have the luxury of worrying about the planet's weather.

Sarge this guy totally gets it... * well, except it would be nice if his first choice had been Trump...

Trump may have ‘flaws’ but don't we all? If we are so perfect, why are we still here?

I have listened to the other candidates, to me, they all fail and that's why I support Trump...

Is he an ‘elegant’ speaker? Probably not, but he speaks from the heart, no teleprompter, no notes, no written speeches, he says what he's thinking, and you never know what he's going to say next, unpredictable, yes and I love it...

He has lived the ‘American Dream’ by building his Empire, and he could be like a lot of other ‘billionaires’ but he's different, he wants us to be able to have some of the ‘American Dream’ and he knows with what is going on in our government, we can't have it...

Can he build a wall, yes; can he do immigration, yes, the bills are already law; can he fix our budget, yes (those that have greedy hands won't get what they want, they'll have to get their money other ways now); will he fix our inter structure, yes; will he get back our manufacturing and jobs, yes; will he play nice with other, sometimes; will he work across he aisle, depends on what that means;

He will do the best job he can do, and I'm willing to give him that chance, it's better than obuma and it will certainly better than another Clinton with the gutter politics and scandals they have every where they go...

Will he be liked by foreign leaders, already by Putin and BiBi, and the others will follow, is he a deal maker, absolutely!

He will be good for America and for you and I...that's why I'm a 100% Trump supporter!!!

This is what Trump said in his book published in 2000:

Tough crime policies are the most important form of national defense. Government’s number-one job is to ensure domestic tranquillity, and that means tranquilizing the criminal element as much as possible. Aggressive anticrime policies are the best social program, because they allow citizens in all neighborhoods, and especially the tougher ones, to live and work in a safe environment. They also protect children from the predatory mob that brutalizes them at every turn.

Unfortunately, no. I know on FR there are many who consider Hillary to be easy to beat, and I know I'm wasting my breath saying otherwise (just as I did in 2008 when I tried to convince people that Obama was actually a veritable monster and not the 'empty suit' that so many here said he was). However, let me waste my breath and say this - Hillary is the most formidable Democrat candidate since JFK. She is ruthless, skilled in lying and obfuscation, she has lots of money, every single Democrat will vote for her (even those currently supporting Sanders, unlike the GOP where there's a lot of bad blood between candidate supporters), and not to forget that she has the media fully behind her. On top of that, she walks into the election right now with 200 electoral votes. I know on FR there's a tendency to opt for wishful thinking, but Hillary will not be as easy to beat as many are making it out to be.

Let me put it in a different way. Take two options - one we assume you are correct, and she is easy to beat. Second we assume I am correct, and she is a monster than requires appropriate effort and preparation to defeat. If you're right then it is smooth sailing, however if you are wrong then we have Hillary Clinton as president. On the other hand, if I am right then at least we will have taken the adequate measures required to fend her off, but if I am wrong then all we did is over-prepare and thus no harm done.

I wish you are right and Hillary is a cake walk, but I know I am right and she is bloody formidable and a walking Liberal killing machine that walks into the fray with near-total Lib support, almost blanket media support, a VERY EFFECTIVE get-out-the-vote machine (an evolution of Obama's gotv system that ran circles around Romney's ORCA gotv system), and looking at the electoral map about 200 electoral college votes.

If your pet goat can beat that, then we need to be running Mr. He-goat since it is better positioned than 95% of the current GOP candidates. Seriously though, this is the election of a generation against the most formidable Dem candidate since JFK that learned the mistakes that cost her her run against Obama (another Dem monster many here ignored). And what I see is many FReepers saying Hillary will be easy to beat. You are far from alone Elsie in your belief, and I am definitely in the minority with mine.

However I was also in the minority when I warned about Obama in 2008 as well, and I can tell you this. The election is Hillary's to lose, she is not weak, she will not be arrested, she will not fumble (a quick watch of the many hours of her Benghazi testimony shows she can lie and obfuscate for hours on end), and she knows what she wants. She comes with the advantages I listed, ranging from the media to a lock in on 200 electoral votes. The only way the GOP wins is by putting someone against her that is largely immune to her attacks, and can put on a smack down of his own.

I hope you are right, but at least my way even if I am wrong and she is a weakling, at least the only bad effect is that we over prepare. I'd rather have a risk of over preparation than being smacked in the head by a Hillary win.

Are you high? The Clinton campaign machine will roll over the scandal/sound bite-rich Trump campaign within the first 30 minutes after it flips the switch.

Who here is confident Donald Trump will appoint true conservatives to the SCOTUS? Isn’t that one of the most important roles of the POTUS?

Ego. Same as any other person who runs for the presidency.

Let’s not pretend that Trump is doing this out of any sense of altruism or a desire to give back. He’s in it for the power and the recognition and because his massive ego and runaway narcissism is driving him. He’s no different from the other candidates in that respect.
___________________________________________________________

You are so wrong. It is a pity you haven’t taken the time to do even a little real research on Trump or you would know his reasons.

He is a patriot that loves his country and the opportunities it has given him. He is an American through and through and his entire life history speaks to that from his grandfather, his parents, the way he has raised his children, his military school days, and his business endeavors.

Name one other candidate that is willing to make the sacrifices that Trump has already made.
