I dont have a problem with people quoting scripture.
I do think it’s a bit nuts to think God or Christ is going to intercede in any election just because one side quotes scripture thinking that it means they HAVE to be on their side. It happens way too often on our side because it starts to become a crutch where some people think they can just kick back and wait for the big guy to serve up a reward for their faithfulness.
It drove me nuts during the gay marriage fight where people thought tossing bible verses at the other side was going to scare them. Not realizing that this is a political war, and you have to get a bit “unholy” if you want to win.
If the GOP establishment can pull its head out if its butt and support Cruz to stop Trump. He has a chance. But if history is to be a guide, they will probably be like Captain Kirk when faced with a no win scenario. They will change the rules of the scenario.
GOPe doesn't like either one of them. But I wouldn't put it past them to have operatives trolling forums like this trying to set Trump and Cruz supporters against each other.
Trump and Cruz are about to go at each other. They have too. Only one can survive. Cruz knows it is coming eventually. FreeRepublic will have a big battle too. Will be staying out of that one myself.
After all Free Republic is a Christian web site, don’t know what your complaining about.
