This week I was struck by two news items that were offered up to the public -- the first was that Bill Clinton was going to be more actively supporting Hillary's presidential run; the second that Bill Crosby was indicted for rape. I found the juxtaposition of these two "Bills" both amusing and ironic. A formerly revered comic and alleged rapist may be on his way to jail, and a formerly not-so-revered ex-president and alleged rapist is on his way to the campaign trail on behalf of his wife (the enabler of his various sexual predations). The disparate treatment being accorded these two dirtbags cast a serious cloud over not just our criminal justice system, but of our culture in general.
Of course there are a couple of outstanding differences in the two cases -- one guy was just an entertainer, the other was president of the United States. Cosby's stuff was kept under wraps for many years; and now that it has surfaced in his dotage, he may well go to jail for his conduct. Clinton's conduct, which, in many respects, was equally unacceptable (and his womanizing indiscretions were well known throughout his entire adult life), will not result in any punishment of a criminal nature. And, in his case, shameful as that conduct is, it won't even result in a loss of friends, let alone his personal liberty.
Clinton's reaction to his adolescent sexualizing was equally amusing to me. When accusations were being hurled at him -- public accusations -- Clinton observed that these slings and arrows might damage his reputation, but they would not affect his "character." And, of course, in a somewhat perverse sense, he's right -- you can't affect something that doesn't exist. And Clinton, while a charming con man, is a man without content...

I think both Bills are guilty, but the evidence against Clinton is far greater than the evidence against Cosby. Doesn’t matter though — the official narrative is that Cosby is scum and Clinton is a victim of a political smear.
The left loves sleaze. Bill will give them all of it they can handle.
Of course Hillary is a the queen of Bill’s victim smears.
>>the official narrative is that Cosby is scum and Clinton is a victim of a political smear.
Cosby spoke out against the destructiveness of “African-American culture”. You run from the plantation, you get your foot chopped.
Liberalism is devoid of traditional decency and morality. It defines its own perverted decency as tolerance, acceptance, endorsement and, finally, allegiance.
As long as one fits the mold of ‘liberal’ they are protected at all costs even to the point of absurdity.
I submit as evidence the 1998 New York Times ad taken out by 400 ‘constitutional scholars’ who attested that Bill Clinton’s peccadillos were not ‘an impeachable offense’.
Completely glossing over (actually omitting) his lying under oath, they instead essentially certified that a bl@w j@b is not an impeachable offense, even if he’s sitting at his desk getting one while on the phone with a Congressman talking about Bosnia or elsewhere.
Rape is not a peccadillo. Clinton is one sick mofo.
BJ Clintoon advanced the agenda of the Left; which is all that matters.
Accordingly, he will be given a pass.
“Hillary Hauls Out Our Former Rapist-In-Chief”
...and the Progressive scu*bags and miscreants in the electorate absolutely love it...
IMHO
Understood. But when all of liberaldom won’t even admit to the peccadillos that are out there and known, why would they even be willing to discuss something more criminal and also true?
Trump needs to hammer this criminal’s past over and over and over again. Force her in a debate to conclusively answer and defend him.
After all....what has Bubba really accomplished during his life??
With all his brains and charisma, his legacy is "I did not have sex with that woman"....and....
He gave up Osama on a platter...And that would be a big thanks to Bubba for 9-11.
No bout adoubt it!
This works because she wants to be the Rapist Enabler in Chief.
Bill Clinton historically has been the kiss of death for anyone he has endorsed and that includes the woman he is married to when she ran for the nomination in 2008.The 2 dem Presidents he campaigned for, Gore and Kerry, lost. The one he did not campaign for, Obama, won.Can anyone name any dem candidate whose campaign was saved by a Clinton endorsement? Or any dem voter turnout that was enhanced because Bubba was campaigning. He is irrelevant. Neither Republicans or independents are going to support her simply because her irrelevant husband endorses her. The only folks enamored of him are partisan Democrats and the media.
I work with divorced angry women who still adore BJ Clinton; I can only guess that they view him as potential dating material.
