We come together across this nation today to pray to You, to magnify You, and to exalt Your Name. We know that Your eyes are upon us and that Your ears are open to our voices. You are also nigh to those who are of a broken heart. We are grateful for Your compassion and love, Father. Your eye is upon all those who fear You, upon those who hope in Your mercy. Lord as we begin a new year, may we seek You with all our hearts----repenting where repentance is needed. Help us to do all that we can to magnify You in our personal lives and in this nation.
Lord, we ask You to look with compassion upon each of our military men and women. Redeem their souls, Lord, and let none of them that trust in You be desolate. Father, for those who do not know You, may there be new opportunities for them to love and accept You as their Lord. Guard their hearts from the evil one who seeks their destruction, and lead them to the living waters of Your Spirit.
Lord, may Your people Israel be blessed beyond measure, and may they fully trust in You and You alone to defend them. May You be their hiding place and keep them from trouble. Compass them about with songs of deliverance and help them to dwell in the secret place where they are fully covered by Your protection.
Help us always to be glad in You Lord, and to rejoice in You. For Your lovingkindness is better than life. May we be glad and rejoice in Your mercy; may we sing praise to Your Name, O Most High. May Your goodness and mercy follow us, according as we hope in You. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
