I have no time for these people. While I do agree with their aim - in general - this is one of the stupidest things I’ve seen.

The local people, the Sheriff, *not even the Hammonds* agree with what these trailer daesh yeehawdis are trying to do.

Sorry, I’m just done with these people already. Just go home.

I’m pretty sure I could take over my local Federal bird sanctuary with nothing more than halitosis and biting sarcasm.

Have they started looting and burning stores yet? Have they surrounded the judge’s house and starting throwing trash at it? /s

How far this nation has sunk where it persecutes good citizens practicing good land management as terrorists under threat of the death penalty if they do not plead guilty. Then, the judge who presided understood the injustice being done and sentences the son to a year in prison and the father three months. Time served honorably and they are done...oh wait, some bastard federal judge decides to make them go back because the other judge made a mistake and didn’t apply the minimum sentence to a trumped up charge.

And the cowards on Free Republic are critical of those who understand the injustice and are willing to risk their lives to stop it. I have never seen such low behavior on this once proud American website.

Shame on you who have allowed your fear to overtake your brain.

If the Hammonds are going to jail for these “accidents”, then how much jail time are the federal contractors getting for dumping the mining waste into the river in Colorado causing REAL damage?

What an absolute travesty of justice! It’s bull crap they were jailed in the 1st place. But then the government comes back later after they served their sentence and tries to sentence them again?!
For what? Are these men outlaws? Are they a threat to Americans?
The government is completely out of control. Better hope none of us ever get sentenced to anything ever or the government can come back later and nail us again and worse!

Thanks for posting.. Had a feeling the bundy group was like Westboro.. Money, attention.. And zero to do with their false claims of being a church.
Just another bunch of whacky dem operatives masquerading as Constitutinalists.. Good way to guarantee Obamas confiscation agenda advances.. Question is.. Are they soros, Clinton or funded by Obama, Blm, occupy. Who is funding these anti.. Constitutinalists.
I read more of the story in this article.. It may not be double jeopardy to institute the original sentence, instead of the reduced one.

The outrageousness of this case lies at the feet of Obozo, the BLM, environmentalists, and the corrupt prosecutors. Anyone can see the absurdity of charging Hammond with violating a terrorist law. The act was not ever a criminal violation. It was, at most, negligence and should have been handled with a civil fine. Prosecutors under Obozo have become pure political hacks and court room gun slingers that view private citizens as ‘terrorists.’ This case is a clear example of extreme abusive government run amok and how the traitors view us.

Take both the father & son off the ranch for a long period of time——and you effectively kill that ranch.

This is exactly what the Feds want——they want all farmers & ranchers to leave the land & move to the cities.

Where will our food come from if this is the result???

The various fire agencies start backfires against range & forest fires ALL the time..

Any person who lives rural knows that & it is very effective, depending on the wind.

The Hammonds are being unfairly targeted——AGAIN. How many times can you serve a sentence? Isn’t there some sort of double jeopardy involved here?

The Pacific Legal Foundation needs to get into this fight.
