Ok, Folks. I'm ready for my Trump "fix" tonight @ Steven's High School.
Stevens High School is the only public high school in Claremont, New Hampshire, United States. It is in the center of the city on the corner of Broad and Summer streets. It was founded in 1868, the result of a $20,000 donation by Paran Stevens to Claremont with the proviso that the city appropriate a like sum. In the early 1990s, the school gained status as the host to one of the earlier Apple Macintosh user groups, primarily attended by high school faculty. Stevens High School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges as well as the State of New Hampshire Department of Education.
Stevens was a Claremont native who was the manager of the Tremont House hotel in Opera House Square, the precursor to the Moody Hotel. He eventually became the most well-known hotelier in America, managing the New England, Revere House, and the Tremont House in Boston, as well as the Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York City, among others. He was the grandfather of British humanitarian Louise Paget.
Stevens High School built its first addition in 1909, due to its increased student body of 156. The front of the building was expanded, adding a laboratory, classroom, a manual training room in the basement, and a headmaster's office. Enrollment quickly grew to 217 by 1914, and the building was expanded again. Enrollment was at 434 in 1929, and a third subsequent expansion added an annex of fifteen classrooms, a gymnasium, and a remodel of the auditorium and older portions of the building.
The building did not need another major renovation until 1962, with the baby boomers entering high school. The student body was nearly 600 at the time, prompting a new cafeteria, improved gymnasium facilities, and twelve new classrooms. The final annex was extended along the back of the building. SHS was an early concert location for the band Aerosmith in 1971.
There has been discussion why Trumps crowds seem to contain a younger more energetic group of supporters. Your experience may explain it. OTOH With 20-50 people sitting in a circle in chairs the white hair crowd only has one problem. Staying awake!
Okay, small caesar salad, garlic bread, and boeuf bourguignon, with a small glass of Merlot ( we aren't big drinkers at all ), and no desert tonight, after all of the Christmas sweeties we've consumed.
Re the champers....we like Perrie-Jouet Fleur.
See you all after dinner. :-)
Christie was on Hannity. Asked if he would take Hillary on like Trump, he was careful not to criticize Trump outright but said that’s not how he’d handle it.
Couldn’t help but think, that’s not how the establishment would let him handle it.
Roast Chicken with butter basil carrots, mashed potatoes, a baguette slathered with butter and wine and coffee. Hubby told me to post Trump before all the dish names!
That pic is so cool of the dog with the Trump sweater.
Thanks, I needed a smile.
boeuf bourguignon?
That’s great but takes hours, no?
Are those women still alive? Do we know?
Your account may have been “ banned or suspended”...but that’s darn funny.
My take on a Chicken Risotto and a cold beer.
