When you are loosing the arguement, start accusing others of racism and bigotry. What do you expect from a professor of ‘philosophy’?
Did the “professor” get hit on the head recently? What a utter moron. PhD in Philosophy? What a pathetic joke.
The good professor has lost his mind, if he ever had one.
The 14th states quite plainly that the 2nd cannot be abridged. That's the first logical fail in this quote.
The second is more common, and more egregious. The right of gun ownership is enumerated in the constitution. There is no "right" of anyone not to live in fear. Life, liberty, and the pursuit (avocation) of happiness - YES. But there is no guarantee of any specific outcome, and being free of fear is a specific outcome.
His third logical failure is epically racist. He has opined that black people cannot control or police their own communities, and that they therefore have to be "helped" in doing so (by whites) through gun control legislation. Unlike other segments of society, the blacks in these neighborhoods just cannot bring themselves to not take up evil weapons and kill. That is an absolutely RACIST viewpoint, Mr. Prof.
Somebody should do a study of how many guns are legal and illegal in inner city poor, black neighborhoods.
Notre Dame is the “Catholic” university that welcomed the most vile, pro abortionist Obama to their campus, and conferred on him a “Doctor of Laws” degree. The school has devolved into a disgusting cabal of degenerates. Any parent that sends their kid there to obtain a “Catholic education” is a fool.
So what he actually said here and what I’ve said for a long time,
is that cries of “racism” can be used to advance any leftist issue,
regardless of how unrelated the issue is to race.
There are so many useless professors, who get paid 5 or 6 figures for teaching one class. They are yet another privileged class that is basically useless.
Actually more than useless, since they spew their mental vomit onto impressionable young people. Not much better than communist re-education camps.
More proper to say the proliferation of gun laws are a sign of racism. Democrats have been trying to disarm minorities since their founding.
