Stolen valor: militiaman bodyguard of ranchers Cliven and Ammon Bundy falsely posing as US Marine

EXCLUSIVE: Stolen valor: The militiaman bodyguard of ranchers Cliven and Ammon Bundy is falsely posing as a US Marine who served in Afghanistan and Iraq

A key figure in the armed militia takeover of a federal building in Oregon has been posing as a retired US Marine to boost his 'combat' credentials, Daily Mail Online can reveal.

Brian Cavalier - the personal bodyguard of controversial ranchers Cliven and Ammon Bundy who lead the group - openly boasted to members of the press that he is a Marine who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.

But Daily Mail Online has learned that Cavalier, 44, has faked his military background to appear more credible as a militia henchman - a fact sure to anger some of the group's supporters.

According to US Marine Corp records Cavalier has never served as a Marine, whether it be as a recruit or a Marine Corps contractor...

[BIG SNIP]

He also featured prominently during a tense armed stand-off at the Bundy ranch in March 2014 when authorities tried to seize Cliven Bundy's cattle over a grazing rights row.....

Who would I call to find out if someone is a poser? I know enough about the Corps to be a poser and sure know how to read enough to even say I, as a woman, was in Afghanistan out on patrol to talk to the women and children. (although I would need a facelift and dye my hair)

The point is, the BLM IS STEALING AMERICAN CITIZEN’S LAND. One idiot who should be brought up on stolen valor charges should not denigrate the citizen’s fight for rights.

As for the Bundy’s, would the media have brought to light the strong arm tactics of the BLM outside of the borders of fed land out west? Would someone in philly have heard anything about it otherwise? Given they didn’t hear the truth but maybe a couple of people wanted to know the truth and lurked here (or asked a freeper).

How are we going to wake up the nation without noise when millions of cell phones and tablets are going off every second?

This a link to another thread with a video link to a constitutional lawyer’s explanation of what is REALLY going on so take 20 minutes and listen. Spread it like the fires the FEDS had going in OREGON [ http://www.examiner.com/article/blm-burns-land-unsupervised-feds-burn-ranchers-home-and-cattle-alive ].

Pick fights? Cherry pick fights? That’ll get this war won. Where’s our Mattis for small government, freedom of religion, states rights, and for defending the TRUE meaning of our constitution? Not North American Union Petraeus, but Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis (just examples of what real warriors say)

“You cannot allow any of your people to avoid the brutal facts. If they start living in a dream world, it’s going to be bad.”

In regards to keeping the Corps unified:

“In this age, I don’t care how tactically or operationally brilliant you are, if you cannot create harmony - even vicious harmony - on the battlefield based on trust across service lines, across coalition and national lines, and across civilian/military lines, you need to go home, because your leadership is obsolete. We have got to have officers who can create harmony across all those lines.”

“Find the enemy that wants to end this experiment (in American democracy) and kill every one of them until they’re so sick of the killing that they leave us and our freedoms intact.”

[Is the current administration glad he was on our side?]

Elohim City was founded and headed by Robert Millar who was a Canadian and ex Mennonite. A Christian ID group. When he died in 2002 his son John became the leader.

Robert Millar's first notoriety was from the armed stand-off between the FBI and another Christian ID group called the The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord(CSA), which was located in northern AR in 1985. Millar would negotiate the surrender of the group.

It was Millar's role in the CSA stand-off that became the basis of the story that he was an FBI informant working with the Feds on the OK City bombing.

CSA Wikipedia page

Historically, these anti govt groups including Posse Comitatus, anti Tax, Christian ID, racial supremist/separatist, land use, etc run in parallel thru time, often with cross membership. When Cliven Bundy arose in 2014 the GOP jumped on the bandwagon because they thought he was pure, until he started talking about the Negro in America so they dropped him like a hot potato.

You need to understand that there is a militant wing and a political wing that are co-ordinating events pertaining to the federal lands. The political wing includes the American Lands Rights Association(ALRA), the Montana Policy Institute, and numerous others working with ALEC, who has written the model legislation that each of the western states is using in their quest to take control of these lands.

Utah is out in front and the other states are waiting to see what happens with their legislation.

Cliven Bundy was in a stalemate with BLM, who was just waiting for Bundy to die before they moved but Bundy threw BLM a curve when he moved his stock onto the Lake Mead recreation area to graze, which forced BLM to take action in 2014.

Bundy's action was coordinated with the political wing to take place in 2014 because the Utah legislation would take effect on Jan 1, 2015.

Jan 1, 2015 came and went and the Feds didn't turn over the land so everything ground to a halt until the GOP controlled lege in Utah or ALEC can come up with their next move.

Bundy's son's action in Oregon is merely to start the conversation

If people want to argue about the fairness of the conviction, fine.

Whether it was fair or not, they did not “serve their time” and then get sent back to prison. They served only a tiny fraction of the minimum sentence.

When their supporters continue to repeat the “double jeopardy” lie, it makes me doubt all their other claims about the case.

I don’t agree with him doing it but the president has the authority to commute sentences.

A trial judge has no more authority to impose less than the minimum sentence than he does to impose double the maximum sentence.

During Sagebrush Rebellion days, I lived in Western NM. Catron County was or neighboring county. I was politically involved there back then.

I’m familiar with the long view on this.

Thanks for the detailed explanation of current conflict.

I’m cautious about supporting groups that I don’t know about.

I trust very very few bureaucraps.

Issue is application of “terrorist” charges unjustly. The first judge stated and understood the charges did not fit the act.

They were found guilty of those charges in the Judge’s court. If he really felt the charges fit the crime he should have dismissed them or instructed the jury in a way that made it clear.

Once they were convicted the judge had no authority to decide the “punishment did not fit the crime” and give them anything less than the minimum sentence.

Freedom from a tyrannical overreaching government. I don’t know about you but this crew I wouldn’t want as the poster boys for that cause. Especially the phony soldier of fortune in the pic
