Orff: "O Fortuna"

In medieval Latin. Used in countless commercials and movie trailers. "The Simpsons" even had a chorus of nuns singing it in their "Da Vinci Code" takeoff.

I get the same feeling with “Beautiful Dreamer”. It was my Mother’s favorite song. A cousin who has a great tenor voice, sang it at her funeral.

It also described Mother.

I could do opera all night. But here's something definitive, one of the greatest love duets in the repertory. It the big duet from "Samson and Delilah" sung just before she betrays Samson. Have your handkerchiefs handy.

Saint-Saens: "Mon couer s'ouvre a ta voix"

In Gaelic (Chieftans) and English (Van Morrison):

Tá mo Chleamhnas Déanta (My Match it is Made)- Van Morrison & The Chieftains

This is from the Irish Heartbeat album, an excellent album of Van and his Irish roots music
